make an emergency landing in nashville yes pilot reported engine problems. there's no word on exactly what went wrong with the boeing 757. but trump did eventually make it to avent in little rock arkansas 90 minutes late. the faa is investigating the incident. >> though he's not in the running for the office president obama has taken on one of the campaign's more controversial issues during his first visit to a mosque. the president tried to correct what he called a hugely distorted impression of muslim americans saying that children have ever been bullied and mosques destroyed. he warned about the dangers of demonizing one group of americans. >> we're one with american family. when any part of our family feels second class or targeted it tears at the very fabric of our nation. >> the president also challenged hollywood to start casting muslims in roles that are unrelated to national security. there's a major setback for the peace talks for the syrian civil war. u.n. envoy has called a

temporary halt to the negotiations saying they'll resume later this month and denies the fawkes failed. each side accused the other of causing the interruption. secretary of state kerry says the syrian government would rather have a military solution than a political one. the governor of florida declared a health emergency because of the zika virus. at least nine cases of the mosquito borne illness have ever been detected in florida. health cases are from people who contracted the disease while traveling to ached countries. president of brazil says the virus has carbon to a real threat against the brazilian people. >> major developments in another crisis. contaminated water in flint. chairman of the house oversight committee called on the u.s. marshals to hunt down the city's former emergency manager who failed to show up for on capitol hill. his attorney said his client wants to testify elizabeth hur has more. >> the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

testify and the former flint emergency manager he appointed ignored a subpoena from congress. as the hearing was going on the governor did announce that he wants to spend $30 million to help the affected residents and pay their water bills. reena and phillip? >> thank you very much. the sexual assault case against bill cosby is moving forward. a judge refused to throw out the case against the comedian and allowed the current district attorney to remain involved. a former da who testified for cosby claimed he had granted cosby immunity in the case. cosby's attorneys say they will appeal the decisionings. >> martin shkreli's new attorney has done something all the bad press could not. he's gotten the bad boy he can ex-he can to shut up. celly raise the price of drugs as much as 4,000% to make more profit and boasted about it. he posts on social media no more

boy a dramatic rescue caught on camera yesterday in port st. lucie, florida. at least three police detectives pulled a 73-year-old man out of his car. he had been hit by another elderly driver a 77-year-old woman which sent his car careening right into that pond. no one was hurt. the same can't be said for that car. >> there will be more testimony today in a baltimore courtroom at a hearing to decide if a convicted murderer should get a new trial. the case of adnan say yed was the first season of the popular serial podcast. he was convicted in the murder of his former girlfriend. but the podcast raised questions about the case.

on the stand yesterday, a witness claimed she saw him at a library during the time prosecutors claimed he was committing the crime. she said a former prosecutor said the potential alibi was irrelevant. and robert durst has pleaded guilty to a weapons charge in new orleans. he's been in custody since last year just as an hbo documentary series was airing that detailed his links to several murders. durst agreed to an 85-month primp sentence. if approved it could clear the way for him to face charges for the murder of a former friend. the 13-year-old girl from virginia whose body was found in a pond across the border in north carolina will be buried today. >> authorities are learning it was social media that linked her to one of the killers. abc's eva pilgrim has the latest. >> reporter: as the family prepares to lay their 13-year-old daughter to rest, authorities still trying to piece together the case. family and friends telling abc news, seventh grader nicole lovell was bullied at school, self-conscious about the way she looked after beating serious

childhood illnesses. she had multiple social media accounts -- facebook, instagram, snapchat, kik. it was there police think she met david eisenhauer, the 18-year-old freshman, a former high school track star, charged in her murder. >> eisenhauer used this relationship to his advantage to abduct and then kill her. >> reporter: nicole lovell's parents say they last saw her last tuesday night. she snuck out, pushing a dresser against her bedroom door, climbing out her window. saturday morning, police arrest davidizen hour in his dorm at virginia tech. that afternoon, authorities find lovell's body, 80 miles away in north carolina. >> the alleged accomplice expected back here in court on thursday. both students still behind bars. family and friends will bury nicole lovell tomorrow. eva pilgrim, virginia. >> such a sad case. you just think of you worry about your children being in the '80s being picked up at a store
