by gusty winds. we will have a bitter blast of arctic air over the weekend. we will struggle to the middle 20's for highs. after we get rid of that late sunday, time for the chance of another coastal storm monday and tuesday. counselors will be on hand at judge sylvania woods in glenardenhool following disturbing allegations in a child pornography investigation. the school is responding to parent concerns. jeannette reyes has new developments from glenarden. jeannette: in this letter sent home to parents, officials describe the school as one in crisis. this is after a lawsuit was filed against the principal of the school saying there were concerns raised about this volunteer and they were ignored. just last night, prince george's county leaders met for the first time to discuss this widening scandal.

was filed against suspect deonte carraway, the school system and the principal on behalf of a nine-year-old victim. it claims that these horrifying acts took place in an open area like the auditorium and bathroom and occurred during a complete absence of supervision. another new allegation that parents and teachers voiced their concerns about the 22-year-old's predatory nature to the principal, but nothing was done. the principle is on leave. kerley's family spoke out -- carraway's family, spoke out saying they do not condone the behavior is in question -- behaviors in question. there will be another meeting at 6:30 at the school. parents are encouraged to attend

navigate this incident and prevent it from happening to their children. william county police are investigating their first homicide this year. police say human remains and bones were discovered in a wooded area near the 8000 block of her drive in manassas on january 13. because of death is still pending. they are now investigating it as a murder. they are still waiting on positive confirmation of the victim's identity but say it is an adult male. there are no suspects. is discussing a close call involving a metro train that ran a red signal last week. sam sweeney just stepped out of that meeting. what can you tell us? sam: a lot is going on here at wmata headquarters. metro board members just grilled staff in that room. the initial findings

incident, a breakdown of communication between two people who are now both at fault. at least four safety measures failed during this incident. the train was told to stop it federal triangle, but the operator did not hear the command correctly. protocol calls for the train to repeat the instruction back to eliminate error. he repeated what he thought he heard and the controller replied affirmative despite it being the wrong command. then the train operator went through a red light. operators do but usually go through red lights, but they first must stop and ask for specific position to go through it. the operator never asked. metro calls that a direct violation. and the switch in the track set up for this particular situation was incorrect. the operator of the train should have recognized that. he continued going, causing damage to the track. the final safety net that ultimately stopped the crash was that this train was only go

john gonzalez is live with the latest. a lot of emotions inside this upper marlboro courthouse. the state has just rested its case this afternoon. 37-year-old jared klein, that former nurse, is on trial. he has been sitting in court with a stoic face not saying much while the jury came in. he just stared at that. that the young victim in this case, a 23-year-old woman, is also inside the courthouse with her parents this afternoon. several sexing assault charges at at least three different hospitals in the area. today he is standing trial for one of the incidents that occurred at bowie health center. he is accused of forcing the female patient's hands to touch his groin area

an examination. the prosecutor described this to the jury as a simple case thing, instead of giving her medical treatment, he sexually assaulted her. the jury in six men and seven women. listened intently as his attorney argued that this was all accidental contact well drawing blood from the patient's forearm. -- while drawing blood from the patient's forum. the plaintiff has also taken a stand. she was very emotional, saying arm klein manipulated her to grasp his private parts. she immediately told doctors to call police. she said she was in such shock and disbelief that she did not screen. she also became very agitated when the prosecutor focused on her police statement when she told the tech is that day that at first she thought it was an accident a t

seemingly joked about it with her. klein is expected to testify sometime this afternoon. we should have a verdict sometime today. we will keep you updated this evening. harford county sheriff's office releasing the names of two deputies killed in a shootout and the suspects possible motive. the deputies have been identified as patrick dailey and mark logsdon. david evans opened fire shortly before noon yesterday at a panera bread near baltimore. >> it is our belief that because he knew there was a durant out for his arrest and what the ultimate outcome of that encounter was going to be with what would have been his arrest, that is why he took the action against the police officer. we don't believe he waited to ambush. jummy: d

the head. deputy logsdon was fatally wounded outside during the shootout. killed byshot and other responding deputies. investigation is ongoing. the justice dertment is suing the city of ferguson, missouri for violating its residents civil rights. the lawsuit comes after ferguson city council amended parts of rigorously agreed-upon reforms to revamp the police department and court system. the changes stem from the murder of michael brown. ferguson police department violations in particular were expensive and deliberate. causeing people without and using unreasonable force. these violations were not only egregious, they were repeated. they were driven i racial bias. jummy:

the day, air temperatures will get into the upper 20's to about 30. 30 degrees in the city. 28 aspen hill. 32 in dale city. there is a pocket over the great lakes. a nice warm up coming through the planes, but that's going to get cut off. we will get a reinforcing push of really cold air straight out of the arctic and it is on the way. we will have tons of lake-effect snow. some of them will reach the mountains. one thing we will watch is down the carolina coast, another area of low pressure develops as high pressure moves out. a storm system will come out. winter storm warnings for the outer banks and
