will stick in a can cause dangerous conditions on the roads later tonight. let's go right to doug hill with a look at our forecast at noon. doug: we have a winter weather advisory in effect at noon and western maryland and along the appalachian mountains. it does not go into effect until 6:00 p.m. tonight for the metro area although east to the chesapeake bay. the problem isn't a lot of snow. maybe half an inch. it will be temperatures being so cold in the roadway surfaces so-called. every flake will stick. the traffic will note the flakes and able re-freeze. we have seen it time and again. a tiny amount of snow causing a disproportionate amount of problems. probably 7:00 to 9:00 tonight. 32 it best. light snow developing flurries. the real cold and windy stuff will not be moving in until after midnight. ahead of the front we will get some of the snow.

one person died but police have not confirmed that yet. stay with us here on abc 7 as we follow the latest developments on this story. also breaking, a jury has returned a verdict in the sexual assault case against a traveling nurse in prince george's county. they found jerry klein not guilty. -- klein wascused accused of assaulting the patient back in 2014. he still faces charges in the district for a legit incidents at three different hospitals. as the cold weather gets here we get more water main breaks. wssc is on the scene of a break in wheaton. it's been almost 24 hours since it first opened up and it caused icy conditions on the roads this morning. john gonzalez is live in wheaton this name of the latest on the greater that repair timeline. reporter: salt trucks of been on standby all morning long because all the

boiling point at a meeting last night at the elementary school. about 700 parents and guardians overflowed the parking lot last night for a meeting with school officials and police. the gather to discuss person accused of producing child pornography during school hours. hours the second lawsuit was filed on behalf of an 11-year-old victim. police have confirmed the number of crimes at 12. there may be as many as 30. one parent tells us she has known caraway since he was about 12 years old and there's always been something strange about him. >> i was not comfortable with him. he was one of the kids in that group and i would not walk with him. be around kidso overtime. reporter: parents tell us officials say they

considering installing cameras on school property to ensure health and safety. they are also saying that will retreat school officials are reporting abuse cases like this one. he's being held on $1 million bond. jeannette reyes, abc 7 news. former dunbar high school teacher a track coach accused of sexually assaulting a teenage boy pleaded guilty today. charles young pleaded guilty to of or attending to these seven male students. he worked at dunbar from 2012 until october 2014 when he was arrested. his attorney previously said he was innocent and suggested he was being set up. in the day ahead we are expecting to learn more about them and now charts in the death of montgomery county police -- leotta was mr. on a deed of ui detail when he was struck.

in philadelphia this morning. that is 60 miles away. fire officials say weather conditions, including the better cold and high winds are working against the several hundred volunteer firefighters battling the blaze. no injuries have been reported. no homes or the immediate area. some frightening moments for passengers on board an american airlines flight as smoke filled the cabin and forced the landing at lax. >> a lot of pandemonium here. were trying to get oxygen. . a pretty scary day jummy: the plane was traveling from san jose to phoenix international airport. 125 passengers were evacuating, including 8 who claimed reading issues. mask and on the oxygen all the masks dropped in the cabin. that we concern for us probably need to deploy more resources out to lax. jummy: and maintenance crews

air through the weekend. are under areas winter weather advisory starting at 6:00 p.m. tonight. on the left-hand side is the winter weather advisory in the mountains in effect right now. the areas of snow moving ahead in the arctic cold front will spread from west to east across the area. timing suggests during the afternoon this battle come to that area. this area further southwest will rotate through our area, probably 6:00 to 9:00 generally. it will not be a huge volume of snow it will be flurries, windblown snow showers with cold ground temperatures. 4:30 according to the futurecast model. that will be a steady area of snow moving across the shenandoah valley and up to the metro area probably saturday night by 9:00. the winds will start to exhilarated out of the northwest as the arctic cold front moves through. not much.

generally half an inch or less. is not the volume, if the conditions in which that snowfalls. that will be with below freezing temperatures, cold roadway surfaces. roads that are not pretreated will have icy spots. as far as what it feels like outside, this is the forecast for this afternoon. it will feel like the 20's. tonight the cold air will come in any will feel like single digits to around zero by tomorrow morning. during the day tomorrow a little bit of sunshine. it will not feel warmer. windchills will stay in the single digits to the low double digits throughout the day. it starts with a snow showers in flurries in icy patches tonight. tomorrow, windy and cold. high teens to lower 20's for sunday. on monday it looks like as it warms up a limit for president stabenow snow around the area. but it appears, especially late monday night into
