will stick in a can cause dangerous conditions on the roads later tonight. let's go right to doug hill with a look at our forecast at noon. doug: we have a winter weather advisory in effect at noon and western maryland and along the appalachian mountains. it does not go into effect until 6:00 p.m. tonight for the metro area although east to the chesapeake bay. the problem isn't a lot of snow. maybe half an inch. it will be temperatures being so cold in the roadway surfaces so-called. every flake will stick. the traffic will note the flakes and able re-freeze. we have seen it time and again. a tiny amount of snow causing a disproportionate amount of problems. probably 7:00 to 9:00 tonight. 32 it best. light snow developing flurries. the real cold and windy stuff will not be moving in until after midnight. ahead of the front we will get some of the snow.
