kimberly: right now, still no shut off. a major challenge for crews working on a massive water main break and sinkhole in hyattsville. plus, an update on a rape suspect behind bars. >> i cannot believe we are riding on the streetcar. kimberly: it took more than two decades -- more than a decade of planning, but now we have an update on d.c. streetcar service. >> now abc 7 news at 6:00 come on your side. is working to repair a massive water main break and huge sinkhole in prince george's county at 38 and hamilton streets in hyattsville.

washed away. scened reeve is on the with the details we are learning about the break and the impact on the people who live nearby. do some people not have water yet? [no audio] this is turning into a major repair job. behind me, the sinkhole is still here. the big issue they are dealing with is trying to find the valve to shut off the water. we are told that valve is in the woods. this may be a long night for repair crews and residents. along hamilton street in hyattsville, a water main break nightmare. break early saturday morning caused this massive sinkhole, large enough to nearly swallow some parked cars. >> they were down in there. this was early this morning, like 5:00 a.m. richard:

troubles. water purser is find at the moment, but earlier in the day, some residents had no water for several hours. others had just a trickle. >> came out the house, and to see all the water and the fact the water pressure was so low, i do not know what to do. >> richard: wssc said the affected 18 inch water main is 80 years old. there's a split in the pipe, which will take longer to repair. >> i'm concerned for my residence. richard: she is the manager of the prince george's apartments. tsrtually all of her tenan are bracing for no water. >> they are locating where the break is. richard: nobody knows how long it will take to fix the pipe. up whentructure is set

no real timeline. haveents in the area adequate water pressure or low water pressure, but they actually do find the place in the pipe they will have to repair. they will have to shut off the water and nobody will have cap water for an undetermined amount of time. it will be a long night for a lot of these folks. live in hyattsville, richard reeve, abc 7 news. kimberly: the temperatures were the mid 40's today. down tonight before much warmer weather moves in tomorrow. devon lucie has the first look at the forecast. how warm are we talking? devon: 60's for the majority of the region with a couple of exceptions. actually push 70. a live look at the national harbor, just close to sunset. it is great to see that we are adding minutes to the daylight.
