collapse in chicago in which teams are now in the final four. abc 7 news at 11:00 starts now. >> this is a breaking news alert. kimberly: breaking news from northeast d.c. were three people were injured on a fire on east capitol street, not far from rfk stadium. roz plater has the latest. do we know how the fire get started? roz: they are still trying to investigate all of that. i will step out of the way and you see just a shell left. investigators are poring through the rubble, trying to figure out what happened here. all four units gone come just a shell of the building left. this is dramatic cell phone video that the neighbor shot. red flameso, bright leaping out of the four unit apartment building, leaping from one floor to the top. it started at

p.m., people inside all four units. investigators believe that it started on the back of a building on the porch. the first fire unit on the scene called a second alarm. in the process of getting everybody out, there were three injuries, two residents and one firefighter. they are described as serious but not life-threatening. fire investigators are looking into reports of neighbors saying they heard an explosion just before the fire. we spoke with a neighbor about what he saw and heard. >> i heard a popping and thought it was gunshots. it was not. i saw the smoke and the lights coming up. i came down through the alley and it was blazing. again, they are still investigating the cause,

investigators inside the structure, what's left of it, as we are live outside. they are looking into the structure of the building next door. we don't know how many people will be displaced. we know that all four units were occupied, four families tonight with a place -- without a place to call home. roz plater, abc 7 news. kimberly: so unfortunate. we are monitoring several developments in the war on terrorism. today, right-wing protesters took over a memorial in brussels, nearly a week after the attacks that killed more than 30 people, including four americans. demonstrators raised their hands and chantedutes anti-immigrant slogans. four people were arrested after 13 anti ter

in the netherlands, the police arrested a 32-year-old man at the request of french authorities on suspicion that he was part of the planning of yet another terror attack. a faction of the taliban's clinical response ability for a deadly bombing in pakistan this evening. at least 65 people were killed in a part. them women and children taking part in an easter celebration. the police believe the suicide of bomber targeted the christian celebrations. denounced "blind terrorism" in his annual easter message. thousands packed st. peter's square at the vatican as the pope celebrated mass. they were subject to increased security measures, such as backpack inspections and metal detectors. tomorrow is the annual easter egg roll at the white house, but it could be soggy.

random. kimberly: the police increased patrols at the station on the red line. riders say that gave them a better sense of security. the police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction. howard county police are searching for a shooter, this time the person shot two people on a truck stop on assateague drive in jessup. one person died, the other was injured. a man who survived is in critical condition. the districtrrow, will be enlisting private assistance to transport people who need an ambulance. they will use a private ambulance company for some 911 calls. d.c. fire in the ms will still respond to calls, but if they are not considered life-threatening, they may move to a more serious call and let the private company takeover. >>
