were in the courtroom including his mother who yelled out when she saw the suspect. the 17-year-old charged in this killing. maurice bellamy, that that is the man who killed my baby. now from the very beginning investigators said this was a targeted shooting and a lot of people are wondering what could have prompted the killing of a 15-year-old. now the prosecutor said in court that the case brings new meaning to the words "senseless murder." the bullets flew saturday at the deanwood metro station taking life of 15-year-old davonte washington. two days later police apprehended another teenager. >> we have placed under arrest a 17-year-old, who will be presented in court today. so, that 17-year-old is being presented in court later this afternoon. charged with the homicide and presented as an adult. stephen: from the beginning of the investigation police said it was not a random shooting

we are on the scene of the fire on wind song drive. look down the road here. you can see a tremendous fire response. i don't know if you can see in the air the smoke billowing into the air. we're told by the fairfax county firefighters that it started at 2:30 or so. somebody driving by noticed something on fire and called it in. joined by captain kelly from the fairfax county fire department. is the fire out? >> it is controlled. we're in the process of mopping the fire up. the units responded to the 3000 of wind song drive. we encountered heavy fire in the garage area that was rapidly extending to the rest of the house. the crews attempted to make it to the second floor to stop advance. to fire in the attic but the conditions deteriorated rapidly we had to get out and evacuate. we went to defensive attack, which we opened up the large master streams. that was

rebuilt. thank you for that. less than 2 hours after the chaos inside the u.s. capitol visitor center, two more suspicious packages put capitol hill on lockdown today. both turned out to be nothing but it shows how on edge the area is after yesterday's shooting. chris papst joining us live on the hill with a look at the tension there. everybody is on a heightened alert to begin with. when this happens it creates more chaos. chris: there may have been tension this morning but we have been at the u.s. capitol visitor center for five or six hours and i have to tell you, it's been like a regular day. if you didn't know what happened yesterday afternoon you would never know. it's 2:40 in the afternoon that the police say that larry dawson walked in the visitor center with a gun. he was shot and taken to the hospital in an ambulance. the capitol was on lockdown for 35 to 40 minutes. many people were e

"7 on your side" after computer virus targeted computers of the medstar health group. they run two hospitals in d.c. today, some patients were asked to reschedule the appointments as the hospital tries to work everything out. we'll have the latest on the investigation and the impact coming up at 5:00. jonathan: terry mcauliffe vetoed a bill that would have blocked planned parenthood. it prevented state funds to be used for elective abortions. supports say the safeguards are already in place. republicans in the general assembly don't have enough votes to override the veto. michelle: north carolina's attorney again will not defend a new state law that many say is discriminating. some say north carolina is hurt every day the law is on the books. >> not only is the new law a an embarrassment,

blow we lose more of the petals. in general considering the rain and the wind we got, a lot of the yoshino cherry trees are still looking good. puffy white flowers on them but you have to get out here today or tomorrow to check them out. there are still some species of the cherry tree around the park that haven't reached peak bloom yet. they typically do ten days after the yoshino cherry trees. that was officially on friday the 25th according to the park service. that means by the middle of next week we are look at two additional species that should be reaching theirpeak bloom. you can find both of the trees on the haynes point and also on ohio drive just south of the lincoln memorial. if you don't get out here before these have all blown off of here, check out the two areas over the next week. i'll send it back to you. michelle: great. i was going to say it's great they happen in waves so if you miss one specs of the trees
