this noon, we are following developments in overnight shooting in prince george's county. police are investigating this as a homicide. after 1:30 in the morning, a man was shot in the shady glen terrace 7000 block. police do not believe this was random. today is the last day of president obama's nuclear summit. that means traffic restrictions are almost clear. several rows are still shot down surrounding the convention center. they will not reopen until tomorrow at noon. tomorrow morning, the mount vernon metro station will be open. we have a list of street closures online at our website. had to wjla.com. new this noon, d.c. mayor muriel banningiting an order d.c. employees from traveling to north carolina.

continues out of the southwest. it will be gusty. the big question is what will happen with a line of showers and storms. the environment, and mysteriously, suggests there is a chance between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., some of the storms could pop. we think they will be individual storms, not lines, and there is a chance one or two will be happy. we had one batch of rain early this morning. that is offshore. there you see the brakes in the overcast. plenty of sunshine for a while. as the cold front crosses the mountains, it starts to interact with a low-level southwesterly air -- the warm air. that is where we will see showers pop and develop. futurecast shows by about 5:00 p.m., scattered thunderstorms possible through the region, even to as late as 6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m. we will remain on the cloudy side through the evening hours.
