each side hurling insults and there were two arrests inside where 10,000 people gathered to see the front-runner. it's your voice, your vote. with more, here's abc's tom llamas. >> reporter: in new york, donald trump sounding like a man under siege. >> you know, lyin' ted cruz came today. he couldn't draw 100 people. 100 people. do you remember during the debate when he started lecturing me on new york values like we're no good? >> reporter: walloped in wisconsin by senator ted cruz, trump now lashing out. his campaign claiming cruz is worse than a puppet. a trojan horse being used by the party bosses attempting to steal the nomination from mr. trump. but trump campaign sources tell abc news, there is tension within the billionaire's own team and that trump's children have expressed concern about campaign manager corey lewandowski. trump brushes it off. >> i have not heard anything about infighting. i don't know where you hear it. >> reporter: but cruz says

trump's attacks are a sign he's falling apart. >> he gets very angry when the voters reject him. >> reporter: however, cruz has his own challenges. and in new york, he was welcomed with a bronx cheer. >> you have no business being in the bronx. this is an immigrant community. >> reporter: he's now trying to explain to new yorkers why he spent months attacking trump's, quote, "new york values." >> i think most people know exactly what new york values are. >> i am from new york. >> you're from new york, so you might not. but i promise you in the state of south carolina, they do. >> reporter: trump saying those comments will haunt the texas senator. george stephanopoulos asking cruz about that. >> he told the "wall street journal" today, he can't imagine any new yorker voting for you. he said, "ted cruz doesn't care about new yorkers, doesn't like new yorkers. he's mocking new yorkers." >> let me be very clear. the people that i was talking about are the liberal new york democrats who have hammered this state.

that the she thinks i am, quote unquote, not qualified to be president. let me just say in response to secretary clinton, i don't believe that she is qualified. >> well, the clinton camp called sanders' comment a new low and insisted that clinton did not say sanders was not qualified. president obama is heading into friendly territory today to push his pick for the supreme court. the president will make his argument at the university of chicago law school where he once taught constitutional law. the president says judge merrick garland, a suburban chicago native, should be allowed a full hearing on capitol hill as outlined in the constitution despite objections from republican lawmakers. the obama administration is hoping to add some extra firepower to combating the growing threat of the zika virus. nearly $600 million in federal

successful fight against ebola will now go to the cdc's research into the vaccine as well as efforts to limit the spread of zika which is believed to cause several illnesses a serious birth defect among them. there have been more than 300 travel related cases of zika in the u.s. and health officials now say that at least two species of mosquitoes can carry the virus with the latest maps showing one species that stretches as far north as southern new england along the east coast. well, a dallas woman suspected of arranging the murder of a dentist dating her ex-boyfriend has been added to the ten most wanted list. brenda delgado is a mexican citizen believed to be hiding in mexico. she's been indicted on capital murder charges in the death of kendra hatcher. the fbi says she should be considered armed and dangerous. >> delgado's addition to the list underscores the violent and calculated nature of the crimes she's accused of committing.

our duty to seek justice for dr. hatcher and for dr. hatcher's family. >> the dallas d.a. says delgado would not be subject to the death penalty if she's found in mexico. she would however, face life in prison if convicted. a middle school teacher in newtown, connecticut, has been arrested after he was found carrying a gun at school. police say jason adams who had a valid permit was charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds. he was placed on paid administrative leave. newtown the scene of a massacre sandy hook elementary school. oklahoma's governor has declared a state of emergency in ten counties affected by fast moving and destructive wildfires. fire crews are struggling to contain flames racing across the northwestern part of the state fueled by dry, windy conditions. homes where is destroyed and hundreds have been forced to three. closer to oklahoma city, downed pour lines ignite the dry grass touching off a still

making news in america this morning, new york showdown. the presidential candidates converging on the empire state. donald trump greeted by hundreds of protesters and a cold welcome for cruz told to get out of the bronx as the back and forth heats up between hillary clinton and bernie sanders. breaking overnight severe storms tearing through the south causing damage and spotting possible tornadoes. plus the dry and windy conditions on the west coast sparking wildfires. caught on camera a school police officer slamming a female student. this morning the student and her mother talking about what happened. and what a mess. all over a house. the prints left behind leaving no doubt who's the culprit. the pictures going viral.
