investigating a fatal accident in prince george's county, involving a pedestrian. our cameras were on the scene late last night on kenilworth avenue and river road. police say a person was rushed to the hospital after they were struck by a vehicle. that person later died. officers are not releasing any details right now about who was at fault, or the identity of the driver. back in the district-- two teens are facing charges for a sexual abuse and assault case in southeast d-c. it happened last friday-- police say a woman was found unconscious, partially nude and suffering from serious injuries, near the benning park rec center on southern avenue. later that day, police arrested gregory augustus junior and tay-shawn sellers. both are charged with first degree sexual abuse and assault with intent

today-- president obama will officially announce a new plan to send hundreds of additional troops to syria. according to top government officials-- the white house is ordering 250 special operations troops into the country to battle isis. those u-s forces will not do any direct fighting. instead, their goal will be to advise syrian forces, in the hope that they would take over territory now controled by isis. the u-s already has 50 special operations forces doing similar work in syria. some good news now-- concerning the fire in the shenandoah. for the first time since the effort began-- the fire is more than 50 percent contained. crews say as much as 60 percent of the fire is under control, but the battle isn't over. the projection on fully containing the rocky mount fire is still april 30th. so far-- almost 9-and-a-half thousand acres of land has burned. and right now-- we are about 24 hours away from learning the names of these little guys-- the two two bald eaglets at the
