abc seven as the police surrounded and captured him. tonight, new information in the past three hours about that arrest from those handling the investigation. we begin with roz plater. what did we learn tonight? tonight, kimberly come investigators believe they know the motive for the deadly shootings in montgomery county. the police say this was a man on the run, desperately looking for a new getaway vehicle. investigators say that suspect eulalio tordil was already wanted for killing his estranged wife, so friday morning he knew that the police were on his trail. a believe the shootings in montgomery county were attempted carjackings. first, the westfield montgomery mall. the shopper returning to her car encountered tordil. was her car,hat then pulled at a gun and said, " i'm not kidding, i will shoot you." she began screaming and two

tordil shot all three, killing one of them. acted selflessly and her heroic lay, not only coming to her a it likely saving her life. roz: at the aspen hill shopping center, he approached another woman and what they believe was his second attempt a carjacking. >> this this year's --vicious action probably when he shot and killed her inside the vehicle. roz: investigators found tordil 's in the shopping center across the street and cap did under surveillance. when he stopped that boston market for lunch, officers arrested him. tordil himself a law enforcement officer. >> tactically, you have to consider he probably has the same tactics and knowledge is and, to a degree, the skills and abilities are people do, and have to be mindful of that and how we go about apprehending
