leon: the stormwatch7 team tracking tornadoes on the ground in oklahoma. announcer: from abc7 news this is a breaking news alert. maureen: breaking news from metro where in the last ten minutes, single tracking ended on the blue and the silver line because of the track problem. leon: that same area snarled this morning after yet another track fire. this time it's a test train that broke down near benning road. you can see here. the fire got so hot it burned through a metal tube. maureen: for the latest on that and the latest problems we go to transportation reporter brianne carter. brianne: i just spoke to metro and they say the two incidents are not related. crews just clearing a seen focusing on the track. take a look. this is just down the way on

crews were working for more than seven hours earlier today. take a look at video as we showed up here in the last half hour for what metro is calling a track problem that happened that forced single trackk. and -- tracking and continues to delay the evening rush hour. we know this is a track problem according to metro. not related to the incident that happened earlier this morning. now we do also know that there was a train on this same stretch of track what was offloaded earlier today. riders tell us the lights started to flash and they were asked to get off the train at stadium armory down the way from where we stand. this all comes after the major commuting mess this morning for riders after metro says a disabled train that was a test train before it opens to riders, went out on the tracks. the test did not work properly. fire that happened as a result of tha

riders say that they are fed up. >> i feel like we are put in danger. we are not even warned about it. either you are stuck in a tunnel for 20 minutes knowing you the places to go or they just kick you off the train without saying anything. >> all of this comes on the same day that metro's general manager paul wiedefeld making the rounds. causing long delays. single tracking for weeks on end. this also comes down on the same day that the new safety officer starts his job with metro. maureen: thank you. as she said today's problems come as metro races to address emergency directive from the federal government. the federal transit organization

people are kept locked up. but they lay out the details. it was a simple pair of eye glasses that foiled this alleged killer's plot. take a look at the video from friday. it shows eulalio tordil in handcuffs moments after the arrest. a peaceful arrest. what we learned today that tordil had been planning to kill his wife for about a month. he wrote notes that police found suggesting he was planning a suicide by cop. he wanted to go out in a blaze of gunfire. but in the end, after he committed his alleged third murder, he went no more than a block away. parked his car. and now it's being revealed why. he allegedly lost his ammunition during that final muer

maureen: it was a car crash scene so horrific a veteran judge said the images will be sered in his brain forever. today that judge sentenced the two drag racers responsible for the crash in june 20193 that killed three people. montgomery county reporter kevin lewis was in court for the decision. kevin: a car sliced in half. three people left dead. >> this is such a tragic case. kevin: prosecutors say it's all because wakefield and sanchez decided to race each other along georgia avenue. >> these are like weapons in the hands of a killer. kevin: the weapons slammed into a come tact car and killed three innocent people inside. including a va dore ramos and ramos -- salvador ramos and ramos' daughter. >> a baby's car seat yards from scene turned up side down.

still the cruise say it is weeks away from anything approaching containment. 90 u no people in fort mcmurray forced out of their homes. some barely outrunning the flames. cooler weather expected in the region for a few days which is what they need to see and hear. maureen: stormy weather happening now in the midwest, oklahoma. doug: southeast of oklahoma city. three separate tornadoes tracked. we saw one live. take a live shot. this one is a ground shot of a developing tornado that now is just southeast of oklahoma city. there is lake right there in that area. you can see that it is a wall cloud at the edge of it. bottom base of that they are look for developments. there is a rotation inside the cloud. that is why that was put under a warning. large wedge tornado on the ground. 20 miles southeast of there. a mile wide. tremendous damage. prime break out across portion of oklahoma.

here, sunshine in spots late this afternoon. this is a live doppler out of oklahoma city we are looking at. this is southeast of oklahoma city. this is south of ada, oklahoma. wedge tornado mile wide. still together traveling east. the one durant farther south. a violent outbreak. they said there would be a high likelihood of the violent tornadoes this afternoon and continuing large hail and even a half mile, three-quarter of a mile away and the winds are still blowing 60 miles per hour on the ground. these are huge mammoth tornadoes. we will keep an eye on it. we will get you up to date through the evening. our weather is quiet. warm front to play. this right here is the tornado right there. you can see on the doppler radar. that is the exact spot.
