. this morning, authorities say have the storms hit in a more residential area, they have no doubt the outcome would have been much worse. unbelievable looking at just how big the tornadoes were. were live at 5:00 yesterday. it was one of those we saw live and chasers were doing live video. i understand tornadoes, but it is kind of petrifying. people driving right by it, it's miss it? w can you more tornadoes possible today. we'll keep an eye on that from the weather center. here, same old stuff. let's get started with a live look now at national harbor. 60 degrees, cloudy skies.

doppler radar shows more rain to the west/northwest and certainly as we get through the evening and night time hours, the chances of rain will increase. even with a little bit of rain, we are still able to get a pollen count in the high range of levels. as far as the numbers on the radar, cool weather, cloudy skies, patches of rain. moderate rain across western maryland. that will move off to the east well. the weather is being controlled by a stationary front, so all the moisture is coming down on the north side of the front. we are just kind of locked into it. every now and then, the sky may brighten. we have more showers heading south of town. a little moderate downpour will be there in about 20 minutes. the big picture shows more rain and shows the storm center across chicago. this was the remnants of last night's
