look at these scenes here. many of the cows you're seeing were able to get to higher ground but some were lost and some good news about this group of horses that crowded around a house to stay safe. they've been rounded up and brought to safety. but then there's this, unfortunately, the radar doesn't provide much relief. some parts of the houston area could get up to 10 inches of rain through tomorrow. areas around austin and dallas are also getting more rain. flood watches and warnings are up for more than 3/4 of the state. now to a developing story from the san francisco bay area. two police officers have been shot after a traffic stop gone bad. overnight the suspect was barry k5ided inside his home in fremont. one of the officers in critical condition, the other is stable. the gorilla named harambe was shot and killed moments after -- let's move on to the dramatic 911 call from the mother of that young boy who fell into the gorilla pit.

four people are in critical condition with horrible burns after this explosion in houston. emergency responders believe a gas leak is likely to blame. the victims also suffered internal injuries from breathing in hot smoke. breaking overnight a charter boat taking elementary schools on a field tape sank off chesapeake bay and the coast guard said it dispatched crews immediately after receiving a distress call but a good samaritan arrived first loading everyone onto his boat and bringing them to shore. some were treated for minor injuries. a few hospitalized but everyone on board was wearing a life jacket. some new concerns about air bag inflaters from takata. four automakers are still selling them in new vehicles that is despite the devices being potentially defective. those automakers are fiat, mitsubishi, toyota and volkswagen. takata is recalling 69 million

diner last month- then set his hummer on fire. a 74-year-old man who was a customer was killed. the driver, samuel abutoh is now out of the hospital- and charged with second degree murder and multiple charges of arson. police say abutoh was a cook at the diner. a virginia teacher is in hot water this morning-- accused of giving drugs to a middle school student at his home. police say 32 year old zachary van dyke smoked marijuana with the 13 year old at his home. the teacher is also accused of selling drugs to the boy. van dyke coached freshman basketball at washington-lee high school and was a teaching assistant at gunston middle school. police now trying to figure out if this is the first time van dyke has done this. van dyke is now suspended, pending the outcome of the criminal investigation. he's charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and distribution of marijuana. a complex, million-dollar
