leon: jeff goldberg joins us live. jeff: evidences from the prosecution showed schmuhl doing surveillance on this home before the attack. schmuhl's attorneys claim their client was too intoxicated on prescription drugs to know what happened in the attack. that is what schmuhl sarred today. >> the police chase and the arrest that followed the attack was dramatic and intense. but andrew schmuhl testified today he doesn't remember any of it saying any detail of the attack itself. which happened at the home of leo fisher and

less than two weeks before that fisher fired andrew's wife alicia from her lawyer job at a firm in arlington. when questions by the prosecutor about the incident schmuhl repeatedly replied, "i don't recall. i don't remember." schmuhl testified that in the months leading up to the crime he was miserable with the chronic back pain. he says impaired his memory. but they showed picture of him doing roofing work with his father to imply he was healthy. they questioned on every portion of the crime and the plan. prepaid cell phone purchased under fake name. and the bloody clothing found in his car. the taser allegedly used on leo fish cher schmuhl said he remembered nothing. do you remember stabbing fisher repeatedly? "no." do you remember shooting sue duncan? "no." during the questioning by the defense attorneys schmuhl's lawyers tried to further the argument that alicia schmuhl was the astermind behind the attack and -- was the mastermind behind the attack and andrew carried it out because she wanted him to. the trial resumes in the morning with closing arguments expects in the next several days. live in fairfax, jeff goldberg, abc7 news. leon: thank you. developing in baltimore police say a man shot his father in repass services for his brother. i it takes place after a funeral. the shooting was triggered by an argument over the remarks at the memorial. the victim is in stable condition at the hospital. one person is in custody. but the name is not yet been released. alison: pilot error is -- maureen: pilot error is to blame for a private plane that crashed in a gaithersburg neighborhood in december 2014, killing six people. report by the national

away. leon: d.c. minimum wage is about to go up. they approved $15 an hour. eventually. it won't happen at once. sam ford has details. sam: it passed the council on voice vote. >> in favor say aye. sam: unanimous to raise the d.c. minimum wage from $11.50 to $15 by 2020 but to tie it to the consumer price index so the minimum goes up with inflation after that. they celebrated what was about to happen. mayor insisted d.c. can afford it saying the unemployment this past year is down as she put it one full percent. >> in ward seven and eight where we have had the toughest challenges, unemployment is down a full 3%. sam: this father of two works two p

tattoo on a finger. >> they were getting them anyway. tropical storm colin has been downgraded to post tropical cyclone but in florida there is plenty of damage in the wake. trees are topping across the state destroying some homes. in zillionth pete beach people had to -- in st. pete beach people had to wade through waist-deep floodwaters. florida is in a state of emergency. maureen: so the storm is gone out in the -- doug: to the atlantic. it never looked like a tropical storm. it was. but the rain was displaced east of the center. then it got stronger going to the carolina. but now there are storms and only menace to boaters and shipping channel. maureen: what about us? doug: this is what it looked like today. this is charles county. 72 degrees there now. early this afternoon clouds were around. the skies brightened up and they got dark again. shower through the area.

erin: of course we begin with the nba finals. game three is tomorrow night right here on abc7. lebron james says it is do-or-die for the cavaliers. he's right. no team ever come back after being down 3-0 in the nba finals. lebron stressed the importance of everyone stepping up to play better than they did in oakland. the cavs dropped the first two games by combined 48 points. cleveland doesn't sound desperate but they may be taking a little inspiration from the warriors' comeback against the thunder. >> we are not in as bad of shape as they were. 3-1 is worse than 2-0. we take it one game at a time. we are confident and home. we haven't lost a playoff game here either. we will be ready to play tomorrow. >> we have been on the other side of a big comeback. what we know is that it's possible. we need to stay on the
