here at the crash scene. all three teenagers killed in this horrific crash, junior zach clarksburg high school. take a look. -- juniors at clarksburg high school. take a look. while it was dark when this happened, you can see where the truck left the road. such a violent impact. the truck struck three different trees. the victims identified as cemetery road jacob dennis, the driver, 18-year-old patrick and green. jacob had just been driving the love of his life, a pickup truck similar to the one his father had when he grew up. the accident happened just before midnight. the teenagers were headed home from a party. this seems so gruesome, dispatchers told responding officers to turn off their body cameras.

three were wearing seatbelts, including the driver. all day long, friends have been coming by. we spoke to one student, very emotional, who arrived to pick up car parts. listen to why. >> i was picking up metal and stuff that i could remember jacob by. i was supposed to work on his truck and put a motor in it with anymore i can't do that because now he has gone. it was the same track as his dad got when he was 19, and jacob just got it finished and everything this year. he loved that thing. all three teenagers were football players at clarksburg high. now on what is graduation day, very heavy hearts early in the investigation. police say there is no indication alcohol was involved, but they do believe speed and inexperienced driving d

thank you. as john just mentioned, this tragedy took place on the eve of graduation at clarksburg high school. tim coverage continues with kevin lewis, who explains how students are processing this unexpected loss. kevin: around 400 clarksburg high school seniors, their friends and family in tow, entered the athletic complex here with mixed emotions. graduation ceremony at this small frederick county college started around 10:00 this morning. clarksburg high school principal may some brief remarks about the crash last night that killed current juniors jacob dennis, patrick shiplett, and carry green. the principal then asked for a moment of silent. the tone then switched to a celebration.

>> you are watching abc 7 news at noon on your side. wasy: a frightening scene caught on surveillance video at the store in florida. take a look at this. a man can be seen grabbing and dragging a 13-year-old girl in front of other shoppers. deputies in the tampa area say the suspect was trying to abduct the teenager. thsomeone tries to stop the suspect. the suspected not get far. he was eventually tracked down. wow. a teenager in stafford county is in jail charged with shooting a sheriff's deputy overnight. suzanne kennedy tells us the deputy is lucky to be alive. suzanne: this all started as a breaking and entering last night around 11:00 here on windsor ridge

when deputies arrived, they were shot at by the suspect, 18-year-old joshua sumpter. the suspect ran from the scene and was pursued for hours by law enforcement. around 5:45 a.m. this morning, he was arrested one mile south of the shooting here at the townhouse is. -- townhouses. >> he took rounds and i believe there were three or four shots in the hip, side, arm, and upper chest, and the information that i have states that the body armor protected his upper chest and saved his life. suzanne: the deputies injuries are serious but not life-threatening. he will undergo surgery later today. as for the suspect, he is charged with attempted capital murder. in stafford county, suzanne kennedy, abc 7 news. jummy:

jummy: take a look at this. a wild ending to a police chase in kansas. a woman suspected of stealing a pickup truck led police already on the freeway. the proxmire's, crosses several lanes, and then flips over that the pickup truck swerved -- the pickup trucks were, crosses several lanes, and then flips over. several vehicles were banged up during the chase.
