leon: up first, one dead, 19 injured and a rush out or bus crash in alexandria. right now, the george washington parkway is still closed. alison: dramatic accounts of how good samaritans help during the

three people right now remain in critical condition. leon: richard reeve is live in alexandria and he has a look at what is happening right now. rich, what is the latest? richard: leon, this was a terrible crash. the impact was so strong that it killed one person. the authorities are trying to figure out how this could have happened. , thes a chaotic scene crash shutting down the gw parkway in both directions. that is the shuttle bus on the left side of the screen. just before 5 p.m., the northbound tour bus collided with a southbound passenger vehicle with two people inside. the impact sent both vehicles off the road, the bus flipped over, slid on the driver side, trapping the driver, and an unknown number of passengers. 18 passengers, plus the driver, had to be transported. we were critically injured. everyone on the bus including the driver are chinese citizens.

attempted abduction tonight that happened in stonewall park yesterday afternoon. she wastold officers walking with her son when a man tried to grab her. when she yelled, the suspect ran into the woods. there were no injuries, but if you have information, call the police. leon: the devastating toll of drug abuse in the spotlight. abc 7 has has spent months investigating. roz plater joins us now live in clifton, where a crowd gathered to help raise awareness about this. what happened there, ross? -- roz? roz: it was a three-hour town hall, folks watching a powerful film and parents hearing tough talk. kids aree said your pulling their money and they know exactly where to go to score heroin. four overdoses in the county saturday, another monday night. the

problem of heroin addiction in northern virginia. >> it does not care how old you are, what color you are. roz: at this high school, the messages it can happen anywhere. >> we had a situation and we need to educate the community. roz: a panel of experts said it starts with prescription drugs. once your doctor stops prescribing them and you are hooked, more people turn to heroin. it is cheaper and easier to get. now the problem has a new wrinkle, fentanyl, the drug that killed pop star prince. >> you can get it over the internet from china. roz: drug sales making it a much more dangerous combination. you cut heroin with fentanyl, it is 50 times more potent. roz: experts told parents to check their medicine cabinets, no the link which of the drug culture, monitor what is on your child's phone, and what online sites they are surfing, and get he
