announcer: now, "abc7 news at 6:00". on your side. leon: investigators in florida say it is too early to speculate if anyone will be facing charges in this weekend's deadly nightclub terror attack. but they don't want people to be concerned about impact immediately. >> at this time, there is nothing to suggest there was any other target other than the pulse nightclub. leon: sources familiar with the investigation say the f.b.i. believes that omar mateen's wife noor salman knew about the attack before it happened. but so far investigators are reluctant to charge her based on that alone. the f.b.i. now urging anyone with any information about omar mateen to come forward and contact them. alison: the attack in orlando reignited the debate over gun control laws. today the national rifle association issued a statement that gun sales should be delayed for anyone on a terror watch list. who tries to

some transit leaders get their way, you may have to pay a new tax. chris papst has a look at what it means. that usually means more money out of our pockets. chris? chris: usually, leon. for decades metro has been having issues with operating costs. the operating costs have been rising faster than what ridership has been. now metro is saying it needs more money and it is looking at the local taxpayers. representatives from virginia. they say no way! >> metro is currently in the middle of a $60 million repair project. to ensure those repairs last, transit leaders say they need more money. >> the financial mess they are in now is not recent. it has been building over years. >> virginia state delegate of fairfax county along with ten of his colleagues recently sent the strongly worded letter to metro officials. saying more funding is a, "nonstarter." be

problems are self-inflicted. driven by rising labor costs. he points to the federal numbers that say operating costs for metro are 50% higher than similar subways. >> give us a plan that shows how you will solve the problem. then come talk to us about revenue. you know what? maybe you won't need it. >> there does need to be a dedicated source of revenue. it's time we went after that. >> unlike most rail transit systems maine row does not have a dedicate funding source. chicago subway for example is fed by 1.25% county sales tax. the president and c.e.o. of the greater washington board of trade says it is time to do that here. but it won't be easy. >> i know it is necessary. is it achievable? metro has to get better before anybody is willing to invest in it. >> the letter sent by the delegates said additional funding to metro should only come from additional
