that left a person dead. randolph road reopened at 3:00 this afternoon. it all started with a crash. at kimablewick drive. moments later a second crash. this one at new hampshire avenue. we know one person was killed in the first crash. police identified the victim as 71-year-old victoria kitchens of rockville. no word if it was related to the second crash. in that case, police say four people were involved. two of them ran off. two others were arrested. after police found drugs in the car. the investigation is ongoing. leon: information on the shooter's strange behavior to shed light on possible motive after the orlando shooting. funerals are being held for the victims. we have the latest. reporter: the gunfire began at the pulse nightclub, camera phones went from

carefree moments to recording what miguel felt were his final moments in the crowded bathroom stall. >> i felt like if we didn't make it out of there, if we were all going to die somebody needed to see what happened and how it went down. reporter: he hoped it would convince worried family members to stop calling. >> we were just trying to, you know, keep the phones quiet on silent so he wouldn't come back in there and shoot us. reporter: the city of orlando says 166 emergency 911alcas came in -- 911 calls came in the shooting. mateen posted to facebook about coming isis attacks and sources say he repeatedly texted his wife noor salman. she also tried calling him several times, apparently after realizing her husband could be the gunman. there are more details of mateen's past. his high school says he was suspended 48 days. he went to saudi arabia in 2012 as part of a group trip organized by the

her wheelchair stop her from flaying the game. leon: right. today she passed the passion to group of wounded warriors. cheryl conner shows us how it is helping the veterans. cheryl: aaron brooks needs assistance to approach the net but once there he is ready to take a swing. >> i haven't been able to play sports since my injury. cheryl: he was a specialist in the army, deployed in iraq. his life changed in 2013, not over seas but back home. >> i had ptsd episode. i shot myself in the head. >> now he lives with a brain injury but survived so he wants to keep living. >> thank you. >> thanks usa, an organization that provides scholarships to military spouses and children held a tennis clinic and hosted by a pro who knows how to serve.

a flyover in the washington area today. i included nine aircraft representing the current coast guard air fleet in historic color schemes. after the flyover the aircraft proceeded to the smithsonian udvar-hazy center near dulles airport. they will be on display there tomorrow. you couldn't ask for better weather today. big change from this time yesterday when a hailstorm blew through the area. the clean up still underway in middleburg. it destroyed several cars and homes. residents reported seeing hail two inches in diameter. alison: middleburg seemed to be the target. >> the one family, eight of the cars were all where the windows broken out.

50's to lower 60's. by the afternoon we are talking about temperatures in the lower 80's. saturday there is hardly any cloud cover. if you plan to head to the pools wear sunscreen. you will burn quickly. tomorrow we have a big air and space family day. temperature will be in the lower 80's. a lot of sunshine. winds out of the north at 5 to 10 miles per hour. the rest of us see temperatures lower 80's to the early evening. a quick look at the extended outlook. the first day of summer arrives monday with temperatures in the upper 80's.
