erpt omar mateen had with a dispatcher. authorities released a 52nd portion of one of those -- cond portion of one of those conversations omar mateen had. he spoke in arabic in part of those conversations. he described his actions to the operator in a chilling, calm manner. investigators believe he was radicalized domestically. >> the killer of 49 and shooter of 53 others identified himself as an islamic soldier who pledge of allegiance to a terrorist organization which is bent on killing americans. he did not represent the religion of islam, but a perverted view which, based on what we know today, was inspired by extremist killers. reporter:

found. 500 interviews have been conducted in 600 evidence -- pieces of evidence have been processed. authorities say they are still far from completing this investigation. jummy: thank you. this, as the nation grapples with gun laws again after that shooting. a ruling today from the supreme court upholding assault weapons bans. the justices left in place of lower court ruling that upheld laws passed in connecticut and new york after the shooting at sandy hook. that ruling just hours before the senate is expected to vote on four separate gun-control measures. has republican and democratic versions of expanded background checks and laws that would prohibit people on terrorist watch lists from buying firearms. it's not clear if either bill has support to advance. campaign manager corey lewandowski is out.

it will be forced to close without a major renovation. where do things stand right now? reporter: there are big problems with the bridge. this is on the south end on the virginia side. there is disrepair all over the place. 68,000 cars pass over the bridge every day. problems are on the deck, the spans, and the concrete holding the bridge together. the team took a turn of the bridge -- tour of the bridge. the national park service took the group under the bridge deck to get a look at major issues. officials are pushing for $250 million in funding for repairs for the bridge, which would have to be closed in 2021 if repairs are not made. this is similar video to a tour that happened last february, highlighting major problems underneath the memorial bridge.

jummy: look at this big mess in fort washington. all because of a water mean that burst. water spewing -- water main that burst. water spewing into the air. reporter: let me show you the cause of all the problems here this morning. this is a valve bonnet on an approximately 60-year-old water main that blew. the impact was immediate and dramatic on swan creek road. thatater was so powerful it buckled the roadway and damaged this 2010 kia that was parked in the road. authorities are now excavating the road so they can make repairs. >> it was bursting up. i was scared to death. i looked out my window to see a lot of water
