grade. sometimes they wouldn't speak for months, they would pick right back up like no time had passed. >> he will always have a special place in my heart. he knows i was there for him. jeff: hunter a friend attended the fire fly music festival in dover, delaware. on saturday near the festival, hunter was in the passenger seat of the friend's jeep grand cherokee according to the delaware state police the drive of the jeep ran a stop sign and slammed into an oncoming pickup truck. hunter was killed on the scene and the drive suffered serious injuries. >> i want him to know i love him. jeff: hunter just finished his sophomore year. he loved to play and produce music. a member of a fraternity that released this statement --

he attended the potomac school in mclean. he is being remembered as bright and creative, personable young man with a great sense of humor. everyone involved in the car crash was wearing seat belt and alcohol does not appear to be a factor. we spoke briefly with the mother of the young man who survived crash and he is physically and emotionally in deep pain. in the newsroom, jeff goldberg. leon: a police from police after a crash friday. the wreck was related to another one that happened blocks away. kevin lewis has the new information on the story. kevin: the fatal crash happened half a mile down the road. crash number two involved a black s.u.v. that turned right onto new hampshire avenue.

we spoke to several. >> two days before the wreck, barry crashed in a parked car at the mcdonald's in olney. he was handed five tickets including driving uninsured vehicle. charges in this case are still pending. we are live in colesville, i'm kevin lewis, abc7 news. alison: development in the case of the once prominent orthodox rabbi, a lawyer for rabbi barry freundel argued to an appeals court that the robbie's sentence should be reduced to 45 days because of his plea agreement. freundel is serving six and a half years behind bars for secretly videotaping nude women. his lawyer says the sentence should have been 45 days total. a judge said it's unlikely prosecutors agree to a short
