the teen's neighborhood in fairfax. roz? roz: that 18-year-old young man is connor golden. oçno one answered the door at hs home, presumably his family already in new york city. we spoke to a woman who said she was with him. thomas hinds from herndon said a group of friends were headed to upstate new york so they could go camping, but they stopped in new york city for the fourth of july. all of this happened in central park at around 11:00 this morning. hinds said three friends were climbing down the rocks when golden stepped on something and it exploded. hinds said he and his friends did not have any fireworks. say the device is not linked to terrorism but called it experimental and said it was placed like it was intended to be hidden but not stepped on. witn

kellye: hitting the campaign trail, both parties playing the waiting game following kerley clinton's interview with the fbi , justice department investigators are wrapping up their investigation into clinton's use of a private e-mail server as secretary of state. we continue to hear from clinton supporters and detractors. clinton: hillary successfully dodged reporters and cameras, driving to and from fbi headquarters for her 3 1/2 hour sitdown with investigators. the interview did not stop talk about a possible indictment if she's found to have mishandled classified information on a private e-mail server when she was secretary of state. the presumptive democratic presidential nominee again denying any wrongdoing in a phone interview with msnbc. >> i never received nor sent any material that was marked classified. reporter:

150 people and injured nearly 200 others. the white house said the bombings qutoe, strengthen our resolve to support iraqi security forces and continue to take back territory from isil. d.c. police say speeding was likely a factor in a deadly crash in northwest. investigators say a little before 9:00 last night a mercedes-benz traveling at a high rate of speed in a 2500 block of georgia avenue in a ford 150 pickup truck from behind. -- hit a ford f-150 pickup truck from behind. the driver, 50-year-old vincent king, died at the scene. the truck ended up jumping a curb, hitting a tree and a light pole before tipping over. maryland natural resources police are investigating a jet ski explosion on the river. it happened shortly afternoon today. the operator of that jet ski was taken to baltimore washington medical center with non-life-threatening injuries. police retriev

let's zoom in closer and talk about who has the showers right now. they are thin out with that closer view as well. some light rain around winchester, port royal. just this one little pocket where we do have heavier rain. that will be closer to alexandria just south of town. that will continue to push further towards the east and even bethesda in that darker green color, we are getting moderate rainfall. this heavier stuff does not last all that long. morning, your fourth of july, most of us will start off dry. then we get a few light showers that push in. they stay relatively light until we get into the afternoon. if you are going to the parade downtown, we will see hit and miss light showers. 4:00.closer to that is when things start to get heavier for us. around dinnertime and into the fireworks time frame, that's when we see a few more bands of heavy downpours push across the area.

winchester around 9:00, thgs look better. 10:30, still hanging onto that heavy rain as we get over towards the bay and onto baltimore. for this to push through faster than models are indicating. that can happen, then we will see better weather for the fireworks. by 1:00, most of us are dry. the pessimistic point of view is that some of those showers do push across the area around 9:00 tomorrow. plan to have an umbrella handy. tuesday, spotty storms later in the day. a few showers this evening, then mostly dry weather overnight. rain moving and before lunchtime, then it gets heavier with that better chance for a few thunderstorms. we the afternoon and evening should be trying out closer to midnight, so watching that chance for heavy rain right around fireworks time, further west we will see drier weather takeover a bit earlier. ar
