had already fled. tom: when the bank robber had run out of the bank, he left an undisclosed amount of cash and a backpack just outside the front door, claiming it had an explosive device inside. >> this particular back is in the middle of a shopping center. the entire shopping center was evacuated. jay: while the bomb squad did his job inspecting the backpack, nearby route 50 packed with cars was shut down, causing a cascade of traffic tieups. >> i've never seen it like this before. jay: in the end, the device was destroyed. the police are not saying what was inside. route 50 was eventually reopened. >> we are still looking for the suspect. he did get away. jay: the suspect is described as a white male in his 50's, thin, six feet tall, gray hair, and a ponytail. reporting live from seven corners, jay korff, abc 7 news. leon:
