jummy: the witnesses claim they saw officers pulled the gun out of sterling's pocket. the officers were wearing body cameras, but they reportedly fell off during the fight. dash cam video has not been made public. we know the officers involved are on administrative leave. developing news from capitol hill -- fbi director james comey will testify tomorrow before the house oversight and government reform committee. lawmakers plan to ask why he chose to not recommend hillary clinton be charged for her e-mail scandal. the house released a statement saying "the fbi's recommendation is surprising and confusing." today on the hill, emotional words in the battle over gun control. it happened during an event by democratic lawmakers in the house who aren't giving up on trying to pass new laws. suzanne kennedy has more. suzanne: nearly 100 victims of gun violence and gun control

lawrence, who acted agitated and ran away. the guard managed to tackle lawrence, who allegedly grabbed a knife, and stabbed the guard multiple times in the neck, upper body, and back. fast forward to yesterday morning around 8:00 a.m., when a north carolina trooper stopped lawrence in a gray mercedes-benz with virginia tags. during a traffic stop, lawrence hit the gas and led police on a multi-county, high-speed chase that ended in raleigh, when officers used a pit maneuver to stop him. the airbag in the vehicle deployed. police found knives and cocaine inside of his car. lawrence is scheduled to appear in wake county, north carolina, court today. he faces charges there am i in d c and also in prince george's outstanding words for strong-armed robbery. jummy: now we had to montgomery

accused for the murder of reeva steenkamp is six years imprisonment. jummy: overnight in south africa, paralympic gold medalist oscar pistorius, we just saw, was sentenced to six years in prison for the murder of his girlfriend reeva steenkamp. his lawyers argued he mistook him -- reeva steenkamp for an intruder. pistorius had originally been convicted of a lesser charge in 2014. the verdict was overturned, leading to this conviction. suggested he get a minimum of 15 years in prison. international soccer star lionel messi and his father have been sentenced to 15 years in prison for tax fraud. both men are accused of trying to hide his earnings in foreign

jummy: welcome back. it is time for a 7 on your side health matters report, and we are answering a couple of questions you have been asking. joining us is dr. besser. thank you for joining us. >> it is great to be here. a viewer asked this week i heard about a study that said the could help you lose weight. -- that said pasta could help you lose weight. is it true? >> i love the question. it has been getting a lot of play in the press. if it falls into the

it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. yes, you can eat pasta as part of an overall diet and lose weight, but focusing on eating pasta is not the way to go. they found people that eight more were thinner and lost more weight, but it may have been that thinner people were willing to eat more pasta. here, always to the were a healthy mediterranean diet. the study was done in italy. i do not encourage people to go out and all caps on pasta as a strategy for weight loss. jummy: i will keep that in mind as i go to the grocery store tonight. the next question -- vertigo -- what does it mean when i suddenly get dizzy? dr. besser: when you think about vertigo, it is more than plain, old dizziness. with vertigo, you feel the room spinning around you. you are sitting still, and it is spinning. there are different causes. you might be rolling over in bed and you might feel the room

certain infections, and migraine, something called meniere's disease, where there is fluid building up in your middle year. if you have new onset vertigo, you should see the doctor because of you have the most common type, there is a single maneuver your doctor can do that can sometimes make it go away, and for some of the other causes there is treatment as well. don't ignore vertigo. it is something you should get checked out by your doctor. jummy: thank you very , dr. rich
