that is not what happened. he believes he took the child to another residence, a new residence where she lives in hyattsville, maryland, where she was located by police. show you pictures why this was urgent. what happened. this mother identified as 31-year-old flora khatun had met with the child protective services as of yesterday. they filed a civil complaint because they were concerned because they didn't know where the child was. they had gotten word that this mother was not acting correctly with her daughter. but she would not reveal where that child was. she was declared an unfit mother after she left that c.p.s. office yesterday. they called police. they issued a warrant looking for the mother trying to find her. they did come to this residence in falls church where we are now searching for

him. his friend tried to tell the mother not to flee. let's listen. >> it's not right. >> why don't you think it's right? >> she is a good mother. she is a good person. i told flora to stay at home. her lawyer told her to stay at home. richard: so for whatever reason she apparently did not do that and went back to the hyattsville residence not telling anybody where it was except for the gentleman who told police what he knew. there was another issue with the story about the amber alert. we learned today that this was a county by county alert that arlington for example, that alexandria were not involved with that alert. that is why some local jurisdictions did not see about the amber alert. at this point now, that mother in custody. we do not yet know what charges may be in store for

the former army ranger leaves behind a wife and two daughters. the police officers from as far away as canada joining the mourning for senior corporate lorne ahrens who leaves behind two children. d.c. police have charged all three of the men taken into custody after the chase and shooting that forced lockdown of the u.s. capitol. 19-year-old edwards faces the most serious charges including assault on a police officer. police say it was edwards who shot at them. the other two men in the car with edwards are charged with resisting arrest among other charges. warning tonight after four university of maryland students were robbed. two at gunpoint. at the time, three of them were playing the popular new game pokémon go.

the course of one hour last night at three locations on the southern end of the college park campus. maryland bureau chief brad bell joins us live to update the investigation. brad? brad: the robberies happening not far from where we are standing now. pokémon go is a phenomenon. 21 million active users. we saw young people using it today. one thing they told sus college campus is the perfect place for it. they are out walking around. there are land marks like the memorial chapel here. so, they say it's fun. they want to do it. they say they grew up in the 90's. pokémon was a big part of their life. everywhere we look we saw the young people, students, visitors to the campus. those here for the orientation walking around. looking at their phones and gathering the pokémon in the virtual scavenger hunt. the problem is that people become attached to their phones. it turns out that

family met with possible vice presidential candidate indiana governor mike pence this morning. the republican presumptive met with chris christie and jeff sessions but seen boarding a plane earlier today. trump is expected to announce his pick by the end of this week. for the second time this election cycle, the supreme court is at the center of a controversy. this time, presumptive republican presidential nominee donald trump says supreme court justice ruth bader ginsberg should resign. ginsberg, though, is not backing down from her comments critical of trump's candidacy. correspondent scott thuman is following this tonight. scott: you are right. both had opportunities to take a bit of a breather and back off the attacks. instead they both doubled down. this all began when in an interview a few days ago justice ginsberg expressed concern over the potential of
