it was an effort to tear down hillary clinton. >> the protests were heating up around the arena. marcy gonzalez is in cleveland with more highlights. marcy, good morning. who would you say got the biggest reception last night? >> reporter: you know, i'll say that both of donald trump's children got warm welcomes from the crowd, but governor chris christie really got the crowd riled up as he bashed hillary clinton. the crowd started cheering and chanting lock her up. those were some of the louder more excitable moments. overall, there really wasn't a ton of energy overall. our team on the ground here on the floor of the convention said that during paul ryan's speech they looked around and it seemed like more people were looking at their phones than looking up at him. when mitch mcconnell was called up, he was met by some boos. >> and marcy, security is obviously a big concern in cleveland. how do protesters keep making it

>> reporter: yeah. i think they're probably being very discreet with bringing in their signs. they're making it in. there were a few protesters here last night. they were escorted that night. they weren't that much of a disruption. as far as outside, there was the biggest crowds we've seen, different groups yelling at each other, but overall things have been peaceful. from what we heard there were no arrests last night. >> let's get back to the whole speech gate issue, and the speech controversy. so, i guess experts crunched the numbers about how likely it was that the speech wasn't plagiarized or was. what did they find? >> reporter: this is a group called turn it in. they track plagiarism. they found there is a greater than one in a zillion chance that two writers would write the same 23 word sequence identically as they did, it

isis has posted new images of the afghan teenager behind an attack on a german train. the 17-year-old went after train passengers with an ax and knife injuring five people before police shot him. german officials have authenticated the images which show him pledging allegiance to isis and threatening more attacks. >> back here at home and the search for a dallas police officer missing for two weeks. police released this surveillance video of the

interviewed by investigators inside fox as other women join gretchen carlson in saying he made unwanted sexual advances toward them. >> reporter: roger ailes, the head of fox news in one of the most powerful men in television reportedly facing new accusations and turmoil over the sexual harassment charges. new york magazine reporting the network's biggest star, megyn kelly told investigators kelly, cold investigators the parent company, that her boss, ailes, made unwanted sexual advances toward her about ten years ago. the first public allegation came earlier this month from gretchen carlson. the "fox and friends" anchor who filed a sexual harassment suit against ailes. carlson tweeting this video today. ailes has vigorously denied the claims.

personalities have publicly come to his defense. but reports say investigators are speaking with a number of current and former employees who have made similar accusations of similar harassment against ailes.
