leon: breaking news, a deadly stabbing outside of a metro station. a man stabbed to death at the addison road station. a suspect

latest. roz? roz: we still have investigators on scene, the crime scene roped off. metro transit police and prince george's county police investigating. this stabbing happened at about road metro addison station, just outside of the station in the bus bay area. there was some sort of altercation or argument between two men, one stabbed the other, and the victim did not survive. it did not appear to be a random encounter. they believe the suspect and victim knew each other and they have the suspect in custody. what we don't know is what the disagreement was about for here is the metro spokesperson with more on the type of stabbing in the knife. adult males became involved in a verbal altercation that escalated to physical.

physical altercation, one of the two males pulled out a folding knife and stabbed the victim one time in the chest. roz: no names or ages have been released. investigators are still here. if you are heading towards this metro station, the single avenue entrance is shut down. live in capitol heights, roz plater, abc 7 news. she says she 7, will be paying for the rest of your life. was caught driving with a blood alcohol content three times the legal limit at the time she crashed her car. alison: at the time of the crash, her three young sons were in the car. one of the children is still suffering the impact. leon: tim barber checks in life. she says she

turn back time. knowshis mother says she she cannot undo what happened to her kids at this intersection. the mom was driving northbound in the southbound lanes towards the light when she slammed into the median, and no one was wearing their seat belt. >> i'm going to pay for this until i die. tim: tonight, she did not hold back. >> all these years, it's been really hard for me. i've been doing all i can to face stuff. tim: the crash happened last august, but the 29-year-old montgomery county mom who is just indicted for being drunk in crashing into the median while her boys were in the car. both were rushed to the hospital. kevin did not come out for three months. he suffered a traumatic brain injury that forced him

be rising, but tensions are. there is a black lives matter protested northeast. demonstrators are promising to stay on massachusetts avenue until tomorrow morning. roz plater reports. roz: the protest began at about 7:00 wednesday morning. shot downn massachusetts avenue at 4th street and set up shop at the fraternal order of police. why target the police union? >> this is a fraternity that really tries to hide the accountability of police officers. there have been situations where people have been killed by the police and before they call the ambulance they call the fop. roz: this is one of a handful of citizens at police headquarters across the country. these professors came out on the lawn and

leon: dozens of cats and kittens living in deplorable conditions. tonight, 44 of them have been rescued. many of these kittens are under a month old. some of them were found in recording conditions in the same home. others were found living inside of a u-haul van. there is a search for more animals who may be in danger. are looking atou are literally in a state of shock as they try to recover. >> this was not ideal. washington humane society says tuesday night investigators found dozens of cats in deplorable conditions inside of a home on decatur street in northwest washington. animal welfare rescued

44 cats, including a number of young kittens. two women living illegally in the residents are suspected of inhumane treatment. investigators believe they fled and took with them more than a dozen cats. >> they had several unsterilized adults in the breeding cap going. jay: some were overheating and a u-haul truck. some were underweight. others have upper respiratory infections. none at this point has been euthanized. it will take time for the cats to fully recover for adoption, so the humane society is suggesting if you would like to help, adopt another one of their cats. taken ay given day we good number of cats, but it pales in comparison. one thing people can really do to help us is adopt a cat. jay: jay korff, abc 7 news. leon: saved by strangers come in incredible rescue in south carolina.

a man slipped into a ditch and witnesses rushed to help get the victim out of the car. then they lined up on the side of the car and flipped it back over. amazingly, the driver walked out with no serious injuries. then, nothing but cheers, hugs, and tears. alison: unbelievable video. great to see everyone together. former u.s. attorney general eric holder back to fighting discrimination, this time for a start up company airbnb. the company hired holder after numerous reports in a lawsuit claiming that people are refusing rooms to guests based on race and gender. he pushed protections for race discrimination for housing. incredible discovery about the human brain, a new map shows 180 distinct areas in each hemisphere. that
