for the first time it is very long election cycle, you would say finally we were talking about some policies, some agendas, some visions for what they would do if they make it to the white house. about the first hour of this debate, that is what we heard, what actually matters. that is not to say the civility did not erode. some of the low lights vladimir put in would be happy to have somebody who was a puppet. donald trump calling hillary clinton at one point a nasty woman. those exchanges, but for the first time, the viewer is trying to pick a winner in the debate rather than a candidate because we got to hear some of the information that you may not be finding on the websites.

for the wrapup area we are less than three weeks from the election, and one of the people on the stage tonight will be the next president of the united states. for both, a last-ditch effort to reach anyone who may be undecided. did tonight's performance way any voters and who came out on top? tom roussey spoke with viewers from both parties, who were watching intently. what has the reaction been so far? tom: talked with some undecided voters with interesting things to say. they were here at northern virginia community college, the loudoun campus. the students have gone home now, but a lot of seats were filled for the debate. we had another debate party up north. this is video from come interestingly, donald trump's golf club in loudoun county. there was a big watch party, not surprisingly very pro-donald trump.

talking about issues like gun control and abortion,, feisty crowd that strongly disagreed with hillary. it was a more muted and undecided crowd at the campus of northern virginia community college. it was mostly students who came out for the debate watch party. a lot of them were student studying politics. several of the students who came out were undecided voters. we asked as soon as the bait was over, did tonight help you make up your mind? clinton now. i just feel like donald trump is such a child. like he just cap interrupting the whole time. it was kind of a mature. >> probably trump. his closing statement kind of caught me because am a veteran. i cannot speak for all the veterans, but i'm concerned about my health and my care and my treatment that i'm not receiving from the v.a.

17-year-old girl stabbed to death in northwest washington this week. kaelia minor was the captain of her school's dance team, a senior. she would have graduated in june. tonight, friends and friendly -- friends and family grieved a bright future lost. anna-lysa gayle, we understand the girl's mother spoke to the crowd tonight? anna-lysa: alison, that's right, there is left over candle wax on th there is a growing memorial for kaelia minor. this was the flyer that was distributed today. on the back of it is a bible verse that we read aloud -- that was read aloud to comfort those in mourning. while shedding tears, they stand next to the bus stop where her 17-year-old daughter, kaelia minor, was stabbed to death

it's really tragic. anna-lysa: minor was the captain of the coolidge high school dance team and a senior. her mother looked at the crowd made up of mostly coolidge high school students as she called for peace in the community. >> stop the violence. anna-lysa: kyla jones stabbed kaelia minor after they got into a argument on a metro bus. they were once schoolmates. the dispute spilled on the cell phone and hopped off the bus. >> all over a phone! anna-lysa: her friends are claiming that she acted in self-defense. >> she was afraid. that is not what she intended to do. anna-lysa: like many others, this coolidge high school teacher is saddened by what unfolded near the bus stop.

for anyone in the situation because both of them were my students. anna-lysa: kyla jones, who is charged with second-degree murder, is being held without bond. she is due in court next week. anna-lysa gayle, abc 7 news. alison: three people were hurt in a mobile home fire in prince george's county. the victims were taken to a burn center with minor injuries. sky track 7 flew over the scene of dainty lion lane. have caused the fire. also, california's attorney general launched a criminal investigation into the san francisco-based wells fargo, involving allegations the banking giant opened millions of unauthorized customer accounts and credit cards. that scandal has led to the resignation of the bank's ceo and a $185 million settlement. wells fargo says it is cooperating with investigators.

consumer alert, airlines will have to refund baggage fees for lunch that is substantially delayed, according to regulations proposed by the department of transportation. congress mandated refunds if bags are delayed 12 hours or more for domestic flights, 15 hours or more for international travel. there is no word when flyers will see the refunds, but travel experts say one of the best ways to save money and time is through some apps. >> go up in price or down in price and tell you the prime time. jonathan: the department issued several final rules aimed at giving passengers better information when they buy tickets and for judging the performance of airlines. alison: happening tomorrow, a nine-our public hearing on how late metro should stay open. right now, because of safetrack and through the end of safetrack, metro closes at midnight. they want to keep that closing

standards were found in 459 water fixtures all over the city of chicago. park officials say the fountains will be removed, replaced, or repaired. no word on where the lead came from. jonathan: 7 on your side with a consumer alert -- samsung is accused of continuing to charge customers who had smartphones that they cannot even use. the galaxy note seven was recalled after concerns of fire and explosions. charges and plan charges. now samsung is facing a possible class-action lawsuit over this. the company permanently ended all sales of the phones earlier this month. if you still have one of those phones, you cannot bring it on an airplane because of the fire hazard they represent. samsung has a booth at bwi, where you can exchange the phone with a customer service representative.
