in the midst of a meeting on what metro hours should be. some are protesting outside instead of going inside and testifying. we have more on this. tom? tom: there is even more going on outside. there is a protest going on now. this protest isn't necessarily directly over the issue at hand. the protest over the possible shutdown in the day of some lesser used metro stations. but the big issue ta inside, a lot of it involves folks on the red here. that is folks with the service union who need metro to get home on weekends they say. they say the livelihood at times have been cut back since metro cut back the hours on weekends. metro as of june started shutting down at midnight. the question unfor debate right now is what should it do after safetrack ends next year. should it shut down at midnight? this is video. what is going on? a lot of public speakers on the issue.

michelle: today the national zoo announced that bao bao will head home to china next year. she was born at the zoo three years ago and is one of the main attractions with her mother, father and baby brother. they can keep them so long as any of the cubs they have head backt 4 years old. then those cubs become part of the national breeding program. we will let you know when we find out the exact last day for bao bao. jonathan: i don't know what it is about the pandas. you want to give them a hug. doug: i thought of the final scene from "e.t." and elliott was going "e.t., don't go." that's how it with bao bao. don't go. michelle: a lot of people will rush out to say goodbye. doug: there will be more pandas in our future.
