the mall itself, you ask people about this. they never knew about it. this area is so isolated that it happened at the iverson mall. but nobody in the mall knew anything about it. reporting live from prince george's county i'm sam ford, abc7 news. michelle: thank you. happening now, testimony in the david black murder trial, he is charged in the murder of his wife bonnie in arlington. abc7 cameras rolling while he walked away from the crime scene. that was a look a year ago. maryland bureau chief jeff goldberg has details from inside the courtroom today. jeff, bonnie black's mother took the stand today. what did she have to say? jeff: well, she had a lot. the trial going on. betty ann armstrong was the first witness this morning and said two years prior to the murder of bonnie black is when the relationship between bonnie and david started to

bonnie began to feel threatened by the demeanor, the action and the words by david black. his insistence to see the children. betty ann said, "my daughter was afraid for her life." and she testified on the day of the murder of bonnie black, april 17, 2015, bonnie was supposed to travel to pennsylvania to see her mother betty ann, to relax and regroup a few days before the divorce trial was set to begin. back tears and said that the trip never happened. also david black in the courtroom today. he was active in the testimony of betty ann armstrong. he was moving around quite a bit, often shaking his head when betty ann was speaking, writing notes and speaking to his attorneys quickly. he was active and taking issue with what betty ann armstrong had to say about her account of what was happening in their marriage through the separation process.
