laguardia airport after a airplane carrying vice presidential nominee mike pence skidded off the runway. nobody was hurt, but a huge police response. the airplane was intact. pence was tweeting tonight, thinking first responders and supporters. he will be back on the campaign trail tomorrow. stay with abc 7 as investigators try to figure out why the airplane skidded off the runway. alison: good news tonight, the children who were impacted by a crash in northeast are all doing ok, but scary moments for parents. jonathan: now a race to figure out why a charter bus and metro bus would collide during the evening rush-hour. anna-lysa gayle has the investigation happening now. what are they saying? anna-lysa: right now the crash is still under investigation,

the emergency room. a woman whose child was on the bus was near tears. >> you always worry about your children. and i got my call. anna-lysa: frantic parents and faculty members rush to eastern avenue thursday afternoon where a bus carrying dozens of charter school students collided with a metro bus around 4:30. the students were on their way shook up a little bit. one young lady had something wrong with attorney. anna-lysa: the school principal said the kids on the bus range from 3 to 13. according to d.c. fire and ems, 42 children and one adult were transported to the hospital. they are listed in good condition.
