first-come another night of protests, crowds on the streets of major u.s. cities. they are raising signs and voices against president-elect donald trump. alison: this as trump spent a day in d.c. d.c. spending time with president obama himself. jonathan: protests in d.c. started at the trump hotel. tim, with it looking like now? tim : once again, we are on pennsylvania avenue. the trump hotel is right here, the protesters arriving at the trump hotel again. if we could pan to the right, this is right in the middle of traffic. mpd has been following this around to try to block traffic to give these people some room to protest. they are upset with the trump presidency. i spoke with a few protesters tonight who say, again, he was

and people need to come together and unite and move on. these folks are frustrated. they've spent the night marching. we started at the trump hotel. we followed them over to the white house. they were at the white house for a little bit, then they started marching again. they were only at the white house for about 25, 30 minutes, then moved back onto the streets, went down j street, over to pennsylvania avenue. from there they want to the capital building. they were at the capitol building about 30 minutes or so, then moved back to pennsylvania avenue to the trump hotel, which is where they have arrived. it has been relatively peaceful tonight. last night, there were a few conflicts. tonight everything has been peaceful. they broke into two factions.

rest of the group is over by the capital building. live outside trump international hotel on pennsylvania avenue, tim barber, abc 7 news. alison: d.c. is not the only place of protests. hundreds gathered in several major cities, many of them chanting "not my president." tom roussey has been tracking this. tom: this is what is going on across the country, texas, a large group of protests downtown dallas at the moment. there have been protest like this going on all over the country. they have shut down a major interstate, and there were also protests up i-95 in the city of baltimore. this is a pretty large group that made their way to m&t bank stadium, where there is a big nfl thursday night football game

they mingled among the tailgaters. this is the second night of protests through much of the country. some of the protests seem larger than last night. alison: thank you for the latest, tom. also tonight, donald trump twitting about the protesters for the first time, a short time ago. he wrote, "just had a very open and successful election. now professional protesters come inside and by the media, are protesting. very unfair." jonathan: at the white house this morning, president-elect donald trump sitting down with president obama. now they are focusing on creating a much smoother exchange of power. tom roussey earlier takes a

at reagan national. the future first couple went straight to the white house. president obama: i just had a neck so let conversation with president-elect trump. tom: president obama said that trump was not fit to be president earlier, and trump had led a conversation saying that obama was not born in the u.s., but that set tha with the president in the future. tom: michelle obama hosted soon-to-be first lady, and they met with house speaker paul ryan. >> we talked about immigration, so many different things. tom: trump said in addition to issues, jobs will be an immediate priority.

a developing story about the president-elect agenda for the first 100 days. donald trump said the federal hiring freezes near the top of his priority list, the idea is to reduce the workforce through attrition with the exception of the military and public safety agencies. for federal workers, that may mean having to do more with less. >> we will have to work more hours and it wil jonathan: there are 412,000 federal workers in our area and 1.9 million nationwide. alison: the campaign trail has come to an end, but today hillary clinton was on a nature trail. a woman spotted the former democratic residential nominee hiking near her neighbor's home. this is the first time she was seen since she conceded the election wednesday.
