streets. these are images from miami, where protesters demonstrated against president elect donald trump. this also occurred in philadelphia and in our area. jonathan: and both those for and against trump protesting outside of the white house and the trump hotel. alison: tom roussey has been following them all might. how was it looking right now? tom: here at the trump hotel, things are very quiet at the moment. a while ago, a big group of protesters were told they are apparently shutting down the third street tunnel. we are also hearing some growing criticism of the protesters. for the third straight night, protesters hit the trump hotel and the white house. >> this is a really great moment

supporters came out, too, but it was difficult for us to interview one. protesters cap blaring their radio -- kept lowering their radio and shouting of saturday's. >> at least be an adult about it. hillary conceded the race as a grown-up. so should you. tom: out from supporters is not the way to go. >> we are all one country, one team, as president obama says. tom: back live at the new trump hotel, we may see protesters here again tomorrow and also at the white house. they are planning to reunite and march again. they are still marching, shutting down the third street tunnel, we are being told.

unity and peace. dozens of people in the muslim community gathered to acknowledge that the election that created a division in our country needs to stop now. anna-lysa gayle has more. anna-lysa: the people gathered at piney branch elementary school, attracting those who voted for hillary clinton as a way to begin the healing process after a brutal election season. president-elect donald trump begins his transition to the white house, nearly 200 takoma park residents joined hands. >> the muslim american community is anxious. i think will be tough to know what is going to come out of it all. anna-lysa: the scene was one that many muslim americans will never forget. >> donald j. trump is calling

proud." he also said he would be making very important decisions on the people who will be running our government in the future. anna-lysa gayle, abc 7 news. jonathan: strong words taught at about donald trump from the ceo of grub home. in an e-mail to more than 1000 employees, he suggested if they agree with trumps rhetoric, they should quit. in a statement after the fact, he said he do not ask anyone to resign, but said the company would not tolerate hateful commentary in the work lace. we know there is a lot of anger in the country over the election come half the country very happy, the other half not so much, but it may because of the anger is focused on what happened tuesday or what did not happen. voter turnout this year dipped to nearly its lowest point in two decades. election officials are still tabulating ballots, but it

that means just half. the full measure of turnout will not be clear for several more weeks because election officials still need to finish counting and certifying all of the results. alison: the protests and rallies are happening as president-elect donald trump finalizes his transition team, now being led by vice president-elect mike pence. new jersey governor chris christie, former mayor rudy giuliani, both men's names circulating as potential attorney general candidates. >> the number one characteristic that donald trump is looking for is loyalty. it is something that we talked about over and over in the campaign. he also wants to have a personal relationship with whatever he chooses. alison: in the search for chief of staff, names include his son-in-law, his campaign ceo, steve bandit of breitbart news, reince priebus.

say an arrest has been made in connection with the hours long rape of a woman that was hit by a car and dragged from it. the man was arrested at a construction site in north carolina, charged with rape and aggravated assault. the police say it was halloween night and the woman was driving along teams highway when she was hit by a vehicle, dragged from her car into a ditch, where she was sexually assaulted for more than two hours. roberto sibrian a north carolina jail. alison: tonight, only on 7, the family of a murdered arlington woman speak out about their loss. bonnie black's mother and sister sat down with abc 7 news. bonnie black was stabbed to death in her home in april 2015, her young children playing outside. a month later, her estranged husband, david, was arrested and charged with the murder.

with a consumer alert -- computer booking systems used by major airlines are back online after glitches across the country. the system went down around noon. both american and alaska air were impacted most by this. this is the second outage in less than a month. in october a glitch impacted southwest, virgin america, and jetblue. at a glitch on facebook this afternoon lead to a lot of people seeing a memorial note at death notices even popped up on ceo mark zuckerberg's page. the messages showed up at about 3:45, then disappeared a short time later. explanation was given. alison: very suspicious. a hollywood legend is leaving the silver screen. robert redford announced he is retiring from acting after his next two films.
