time in a collapsed trench. alison: anna-lysa gayle has the incredible video and the investigation still happening. how did this start? anna-lysa: jonathan and alison, construction workers were clearing the area for new pipes when one of the workers found himself buried under a pile of mud in a 12 foot trench. action wednesday afternoon about 12:30 when a worker found himself trapped in a trench. >> the collapse occurred. he was covered over his head with the dirt. anna-lysa: as each our past, they watched as firefighters worked diligently to clear the dirt surrounding his head so we could continue breathing. throughout the process, they

said if it was a student, faculty, or staff members. they are working to identify anyone who may have been exposed. those who have will be notified and tested at no cost. jonathan: a a lot of people standing near a food truck near the gw campus. three people were burned when the truck ignited. one is in critical condition. tim barber has the latest on the investigation and the cause of what happened. we're also hearing from a food truck row on h street. i spoke with a person who was in the truck, who do not want to talk on camera, but the truck burst into flames. [sigh rinse] -- sirens] tim: he was in his food truck when the one in front of him burst into flames. >> people were scared.

fire and ems say that it caught fire about 2:00 this afternoon. three workers inside were rushed to the hospital. at last check, one of them is in critical condition. tonight, the investigation is ongoing, but officials believe the fire may have been caused by a faulty gas line. >> it was completely engulfed in flames. it was surreal. tim: students say it was one of the most popular food trucks on campus. >> families. tim: some students are starting to raise money to get the truck and its employees back. a little good news to report, students have raised more than $5,000 for the food truck. as soon as we get an update on the patient's condition, we will let you know.

members of the umd football team shot and airsoft gun it students on campus. the two players are accused of driving around campus earlier this month and hitting three people with his bb gun. tom roussey has the latest on this. tom? tom: alison, when fans arrived saturday for a game against ohio state, many of them learned after arriving here that several players they were not told why. now we know there were allegations of driving around campus in shooting students with a bb gun. one happened at a dorm across the street from the football stadium. freshman running back lorenzo harrison made a name for himself this season. he is second on the team in rushing and has scored more touchdowns than any other terp running back, but it's not clear if or when he and a fellow freshmen will play again.

facing seven criminal charges after allegedly driving around campus and shooting students with an air soft bb gun that look like an ak-47. the first student hit said he was riding his bike near the engineering building on paint branch drive when he was shot by a car going the other way. in all, three students working at the night of november 6. it was a sunday, the day after the football team had been pummeled by michigan in a road game. linebacker brooks was also in the car. he told the police see the police either. fired anyone and he is not been charged. he admitted he was suspended with harrison and turner before this past sunday's game. we have learned that brooks will be allowed to rejoin the team, but as for turner and harrison, the university sent a statement saying both are still suspended indefinitely. live in college park on the

maryland, tom roussey, abc 7 news. jonathan: new developments in the deadly police shooting that took place in minnesota. they have charged the officer with manslaughter. he shot and killed orlando castillo during a traffic stop. the aftermath was streamed live on facebook by his girlfriend. >> it is my conclusion that the use of deadly force but often ficer jimenez was not justified. >> a different chapter and we all hope and pray that the right thing is done. jonathan: the officer's attorney said his client reacted to seeing a gun, one that castillo had a permit for an even told the officer he had in his possession. the officer will appear in court friday. alison: new information after the deadly commuter train crash in new jersey. the engineer of the train suffered from sleep apnea that had gone undiagnosed.
