jonathan: we begin with breaking news, a man shot to death at a food lion and manassas inside the entrance to the store. the police are the same. michelle: tom roussey just got on the scene. tom: at this point, the police are still trying to work out

a lot of police here now, but when this happened, the store was open and there were customers inside, even nearby where the shooting happened. the investigation is focused on that entrance, where the police say this man was shot, right inside the double doors. he was alive when they arrived, but unfortunately later died. this is video we took after we arrived at the scene. the police say this happened at and hearing conflicting stories. at this point they have not pieced everything together and nobody is under arrest, but they don't believe there is a threat to the greater community at large. they say they will be investigating throughout the night and will have more information tomorrow. the police are still investigating right around the doorway where they say this happened earlier.

a big cooldown. world i coming up. michelle: this just into the newsroom, a woman is now charged with attempted murder for stabbing her grandmother multiple times. this happened in pasadena yesterday for stop the police say that savannah weaver attacked the 82-year-old woman. she claimed that she was trying to get the demons out of her grandmother. the victim has been released from the hospital. jonathan: you state university after yesterday's attack. the police say that abdul artan slammed into a crowd of people, then jumped out of his car slashing them with a knife. isis is claiming responsibility, but they are not saying they directed him to carry out the attack. 11 people were hurt yesterday. >> initially it felt like somebody had punched me in my hand. it was just a dull pain.

demanded she say nothing. >> the suspect was overtly threatening the victim and her family, her mother and brothers, other family members, and they were very afraid. tom: the girl who speaks no english eventually told a case. fairfax county police would not say if conteras was in the country illegally, but said that immigration and customs agents are involved. >> we have reason to believe he is evading apprehension. jonathan: tonight and battle over minimum wage. rallies all over the country to raise it to $15 per hour. workers in montgomery county say they cannot afford their rent without working multiple jobs. jay: more than a dozen organizations rally outside of the montgomery county council building to support a bill that

2020. this minimum wage worker said this would help her live more reasonably in a county with a high cost of living. >> i have to make difficult decisions. most of my money goes towards rent and health insurance. >> you just cannot find housing with that little money. jay: the councilmen vote in early 2017. the county executive recently had concerns this type of wage increase would cause some businesses to leave, putting the county at a competitive disadvantage. and among wage in montgomery county will raise to $11.50 per hour. the national minimum wage is $7.50 per hour.
