home invasion that ended with a death. culpeper sure's office is looking for the two other suspects in a 2001 dark green honda. investigators returned friday afternoon with evidence markers. the homeowner -- a neighbor heard gunshots coming from the house. >> i came outside to see what was, and five minutes later the police department and everybody was here. anna-lysa: detectives learned the shots were fired by his neighbor after two intruders forced their way in, striking him in the head with a gun. >> a struggle ensued between the homeowner, mr. jones, at which point the homeowner was able to obtain control of the gun.

investigation happening now. tom: the police say that what happened happened here on school property. the man was given release conditions earlier today by a judge, order to stay away from the high school and order to stay away from the 17-year-old alleged victim. we found jimmy augustine's resu me on linkedin. trainer at archbishop carroll from 2007 until last month. it does not say why he left. really this year, augustin had inappropriate contact with a 17-year-old student. he allegedly took the girl on the net, face, and touched her lower back. archbishop carroll prides itself on athletics and now has a different athletic trainer.

drama and a south carolina courtroom as the jury is struggling to reach a verdict in a high-profile police-involve shooting. officer michael slater shot walter scott to death as he was running away from him. scott was shot eight times in the back. slater said it was self-defense, although scott was not armed. the jury said that just one of its members cannot convict the defendant, so they cannot reach a verdict. the judg at one point it was looking very possible this former police officer seen on a cell phone video shooting a black man in the back could be going home to his family tonight. michael slater needed only one member of the nearly all-white jury to agree that he fired eight bullets because he was afraid, even though his victim had already run nearly 18 feet away from him. the judge read a letter from one
