apprehended by the other officer and responding officers. the officers immediately break the window out of the driver side of the vehicle because the driver was unresponsive. they extract the driver and place them on the ground, apply a trauma kit, and begin cpr, providing life-saving intervention measures while calling for advanced life support from fire ems. the driver was transported to the hospital where unfortunately he succumbed to the injuries. the second individual in the car, the passenger is under arrest, in the criminal investigations division being questioned. we have recovered two weapons as of now and pictures are available to the public through our social media. the handgun was found on the floorboard beneath driver

shooting. the police chief said the started at around 9:00 this morning, police called here for a suspicious vehicle, police found the two men sleeping in the car, the driver woke up and allegedly pointed a gun at an officer, that is when the cops opened fire, the driver was killed and police say men were armed. two guns were covered, -- recovered, a rifle and a handgun , the second suspect tried to plea and was detained and arrested a short time later. no officers were injured in this incident, the deceased has been identified as terrence thomas junior, he lived in capitol heights. only four or five blocks away. the police chief said there were prior charges with these men and it is still very early in the investigation. live in capitol heights, john gonzalez. jummy: thank you

millions getting ready to fly out for the holidays, airports nationwide's are extremely busy. lines expected to be long and in some places a lot of the latest, sam sweeney at reagan national with the rush on one of the busiest travel days on the year. everybodyu feeling you know is traveling, you are not imagining it, nearly 50% of the people living in the d.c. are expected to hit the road between now and new year's. look at the security line, it has been moving steadily all morning, full of people but doing an excellent job of getting people through, on average in less than 10 minutes. aaa is calling this an exit is of biblical proportions and expect more americans to travel this holiday season than ever before. across the country, more than 103 million americans are expected to leave their homes and travel more then 50 miles.
