the story has changed a bit. cam from mobileh trak 7. you see all the red lights. it is picking up. we just got off the beltway, where there is a 12 minute backup on the outer loop. on that section between colesville road and georgia avenue, there was a bad accident, so that is compounding matters. million people in the d.c. area traveling over the next few days, and today is predicted to be the busiest travel day of the year. it is starting to pick up. the saying goes, leaving early, stay late. like traffic early this morning. right now we are at a standstill, some folks deciding to leave a little bit later. are going to drive over to the eastern shore. we have a place below solace barry, maryland, and enjoy christmas day -- below salisbury, and enjoy christmas day, then come back to tysons

death of muhammad ali and the death of prince, who i grew up listening to. it was extraordinarily tragic in prince's case. and thinking about muhammad ali and humanitarian rights and what he meant to this country on so many levels -- on a civil rights level, on an antiwar level. it was so much more than an athlete. i am also a huge fan of leonard cohen, who just died. that man was a true poet, and the song "hallelujah," which we feature tonight, gave hope to so many people who might be going through hard times. to see him pass was really sad. jummy: we look forward to seeing that special tonight right here on abc 7. elizabeth vargas, thank you. coming up, we are doing some last-minute holiday shopping. one consumer expert has a tip that could help
