ending. >> the tigers and their fans are celebrating their first football national championship 1981 after a heart stopping title game rematch against alabama in tampa. clemson was down 14 points in the first half. they fought back to take a lead. 28-24. only five minutes left on the fourth quarter, two and a half minutes later, a 30-yard touchdown run. that gave the tide a 31-28 lead. the game clock there, one second left. clemson had a two yard touchdown pass that gave them the win. >> i can't tell how humbled i am, blessed, and so thankful to be a part of helping get clemson back on top.
