13th floor. no one was hurt but there were smoke damage on several floors. jonathan: update now on the tuesday deadly stabbing. in a fight at the westfield wheaton mall. police still looking for the attacker in this case. they have identified one of the two people killed as 22-year-old angel pineda-gomez. the name of the second victim has not been released. maureen: the d.c. mayor and police chief are touting a drop in the city crime rate as they roll out a new crime fighting initiative. in 2016, the d.c. police say the violent crime dropped 10%. to keep the downward trend the police plan to roll out a new sector policing plan as they call it. it will streamline the command for the efficiency and groom future department leaders. jonathan: agreement reforming the baltimore police department is going before the spending panel. that will happen tomorrow. attorney general loretta lynch is expected to announce the details of the agreement after the

increase security and safety. maureen: maryland lawmaker has resigned in the wake of a bribery scandal. prince george's county delegate michael vaughn resigned today. two current lawmakers are investigated in a bribery scandal surrounding the prince george's county liquor board. the scandal has seen two board members arrested and a former delegate plead guilty to corruption. virginia's general assembly also convened for the final time under governor terry mcauliffe. the governor will give his state of the commonwealth address tonight. for this session the democrat will again have to work with a republican majority. jonathan: well, one of the candidates hoping to become virginia's governor held unique campaign event today that some call more of a student. as mike carter-conneen reports republican corey stewart presented a free a.r.-15 rifle to the winner of a giveaway contest.
