michelle: new information in the search for gunman who shot and killed a beloved grand mother in southeast washington. police releasing the surveillance veiled owe of the shooting of vivian. it happened monday morning. in the video you can see two men running and the wheel cheer spinning as they race by. they hope the video will lead to an arrest. alison: grief counselors were on hand to help department of the labor employees cope with a tragedy. a 3-year-old boy died tuesday after choking on food. the staff called 911 and performed heimlich and c.p.r. the boy was rushed to the hospital but it was too late. an investigation is

a man is in police custody for a wild chase after a seemingly minor traffic violation. they chased the man on i-66 in rush hour. after he refused to pull over. the reason, h.o.v. violation. the police stopped the chase for safety reasons. they found the car abandoned. and the driver was a short distance away and arrest had had him. michelle: it will soon be time to say goodbye to bao bao. the national zoo is going to host several events before she joins the panda breeding program. it will take place between february 16 and the 20th. as part of an agreement between the u.s. and china, all the pandas at the zoo move to china before the fourth birthday. alison: coming up next, tom roussey following breaking news for us. tom: we are in the friendship heights. the big group to my left is gathering. they are pla

alison: we are back with breaking news about growing protests. michelle: tom roussey joins us from the d.c.-maryland border. what are they planning? tom: they plan a big protest. a dance protest. from where i am standing, western and wisconsin if you go a mile that way and make a right you wind up at vice president elect pence's house. of course he is about to move out of it. it's a temporary house but officially he is living there. the crowd to my left are planning to walk over there. they said actually dance over there. then they want to do a dance protest adds his home. they say that the protest is on behalf overgraze and transgender -- overgay and transgendered people. it will be through

involved. the group is going over there in a few minutes and protest. there are secret service in the area as you might imagine but as close as you can get, they plan to protest from there. reporting live at the d.c.-maryland border, tom roussey, abc7 news. alison: thank you. those coming to the protest planned a day after the inauguration wil have easier access to metro. the transit agency will open at 5:00 a.m. on saturday, two hours earlier than normal to accommodate the expected crowds for the women march on washington. that is permitted for 200,000 people. some think the number attending could go higher. michelle: in the past hour we released a list of speakers for women's march. gloria steinam, ashley judd, scarlet johansson, america ferrera and d.c. mayor muriel bowser. if you would like to see the entire list it's online at

here is what is happening. future cast shows clear skies in the weather center. temperatures in the morning close to 50 degrees already. climb in the middle 50's to enjoy sunshine in the afternoon. but tomorrow night the clouds roll in. after that, it's rain. it's probably closer to noontime when the rain will move in the warm front. the best news is it will come and go. by 4:30 or so in the afternoon it's well east of the area. we are sitting pretty after that through saturday. i will tell you now. more rain coming, heavy rain late sunday to monday. the hour-by-hour outlook for inauguration day. have the rain gear ready. for the cloudy skies through the morning. the rain developing again. 11:00 to 11:30 and 12:00 to 12:30 is the best estimation. it won't rain every minute but you will get wet so have the rain gear ready. the weekend, be

there are times when it's nice that things go up. and it's sometimes even better when things go down. novec, a not-for-profit electric cooperative, provides wholesale power to its customers at cost. any changes in that cost are passed along through an annual power cost adjustment on bills. the average home's power bill from novec will again go down in 2017 by nearly $11 a month. making down a very good direction for power bills. there are times when it's nice that things go up.
