industry. >> and a hearing for treasury secretary. he's expected to defend his record during the housing crisis after people who lost their hopes to foreclosures were on capitol hill yesterday asking democrats to reject his nomination. and the president-elect's choice to run the environmental protection agency told senators he doesn't believe climate change is a hoax. which is what trump has called it in the past. as oklahoma attorney general, though, scott pruitt has sued the epa 14 times. he refused to say if he could recuse himself from the ongoing cases if confirmed as head of the agency. trump's health agency was pounded over plans to replace obama care as well as his stock trades. >> reporter: on capitol hill a crush of confirmation hearings. massive lines of people waiting to hear from some of donald trump's most controversial nominees like tom price.

tough prison sentence. due process was carried out that she took responsibility for her crime, that the sentence that she received was very disproportionate relative to what other leakers had received. i feel very comfortable that justice has been served. >> meanwhile wikileaks founder has retreated from his pledge to accept extradition to the united states. if manning was granted clemency. lawyers for him say what he was really asking for was an immediate pardon. critics are using the manning case for just publicity. >> more rains expected. emergency crews made dozens of high water rescues as thousands of motorists were stranded on
