in "the skinny." it's monday, january 23rd. we say good morning to you on this monday. we'll start with severe weather on both coasts. deadly tornadoes, flooding, and power outages. the east showing the deadly storm moving east off the coastline with lots of activity. still over the mid atlantic. >> and in the west lots of rain and snow making travel nearly impossible in some areas. this was the scene in southern california. flood waters cascading down steps near l.a. thousands are without power and some schools even cancelled. >> just amazing scene there in los angeles. south south, recovery efforts are underway after twisters touched down over the weekend in mississippi. four people were killed. but the hardest hit area is south georgia
