problems. slightly higher elevations, all kinds of ice on the side of the road, and they have had to do some work to mature the roads stay clear. salt trucks were busy in both frederick and washington counties. we saw this one on the west side of the southbound. on theucks loaded up east side of frederick county. ander temperatures north west of d.c. have led to some very icy spots, especially at higher elevations, like braddock heights west of frederick. beenven where it has not cold for ice like this, there have been problems thanks to the rain and heavy wind earlier in the day. in laurelre started acres after power lines went down in colesville, silver spring. at damage was a lot worse this home in aspen hill after a tree landed on it.

each state has organizers to do continuing work and she is encouraging people to call congressman and senators and keep saturday's spirit alive. alison: there is a search for who shot at a police officer in his cruiser as the officer was trying to make a traffic stop last night in great falls. the driver of a white sedan sped off, then turned the car around and fired at the cruiser. a passenger ran away. the officer was not struck, but the police are asking for anyone with information to come forward. department ofurel public works worker was killed in a car accident this morning. marcus kohlberg was riding on the back of a trash truck at sandy's ring road -- sandy spring road when a car crashed into them. laurel's mayor is offering condolences. alison: prince george's county police are asking for help to solve a murder case. last

minnesota state house, governor mark dayton fainted and collapsed. this happened about 45 minutes into his state of the state address. he appeared to be conscious as he was helped to a bathroom several minutes later. released a message on twitter saying his dad is "doing great tonight." we certainly wish him well. steve: the heaviest of the rain is long gone. the weatherbug network, over two inches fell in arlington, the district 1.8 inches of rain, about 1.3 inches in gainesville. the wind gusts at this hour, finally beginning to ease. the wind advisory canceled out earlier. closer to the bay and further east, 20 to 30 miles per hour. the temperatures mainly in the upper 40's, near 50 degrees. winchester 32. right near freezing.
