for the storm and earlier heavy rains and high winds made the commute home miserable for thousands in the new york metro area. and in philadelphia, wrong place, wrong time for a man killed when he was hit by a sign that had been blown by those winds. to the south in georgia, there were incredible scenes of heart ache as residents returned to what was left of their homes. at least 20 people died in the southeast during the weekend storms. the governor of georgia now asking for federal help. and in the west, california's governor has declared a state of emergency. at least four people have died and several others missing following a three-day storm. in the san francisco bay area, an 18-year-old woman is also missing after her car plunged into a fast-moving water following a collision ski resorts in the nearby sierra got up to three feet of new snow. some areas don't know where to put all the snow that's falling and more could be on the way. >> clearly a busy week for the folks at accuweather.
