to close the budget gap while investing in costly maintenance and safety changes. that includes increasing rail and bus fares and reducing train and bus service. >> it's ridiculous. they are holding virginia hostage. jay: quincy jones says that northern virginia with several bus routes under consideration for elimination will be hit hard. >> virginians should be outraged. all of these cuts in virginia? there is already gridlock. jay: arguably the biggest fear in this room, job cuts. metro is proposing to eliminate through various means about 1000 positions. this shop steward said that will lead to transportation chaos. >> what you think will happen when you take jobs from us? you will have people sitting in traffic all day long, and then everybody will be turned against you. jay: these workers were also talking about strategy.

jonathan: justin from montgomery are looking police for at least one person in connection with a home invasion and kidnapping in olney, happening late last night. the police say that two men with ski masks forced their way into the house. they made away with cash and forced one of the victim to drive to another house to get money. the police have one person in custody and are looking for at least one more. if you have information, the police want to talk to you. alison: this is what $20 million in cash looks like. authorities near boston found the stash stuff inside of a box spring in an apartment. the police are linking it with a suspected money-laundering scheme as part of

alison: the hacker who stalled and pictures of dozens of celebrities will spend nine months in jail. he was sentenced today, tied to dozens of nude celebrity photos leaked in 2015. victims included jennifer lawrence, kate upton, soccer star hope solo. he was also ordered to pay $ 5,700 to undisclosed celebrity to cover counseling costs. they say he got access to the photos through a phishing scheme. jonathan: neighbors on the east coast are underwater. this is after a powerful nor'easter brought damaging wind and intense flooding. this is video from new jersey, where you see how high the water is. the other major issue, dangerous waves. in some places they are so high they are crashing over the guard rails. alison: on the west coast, some are making the best of a bad situation. this man is riding his jet
