leaders say while they support the president's efforts, he will be to work out his differences with foreign leaders, adding the cost to build the wall between $12 billion and $15 billion. under one hour, the greenpeace protesters who climbed a crane and hung a sign outside are due in court. they were up in the air for about 15 hours to deliver a message to president trump. john gonzalez has more. >> the seven activists from greenpeace are facing a judge this morning at d.c. superior court with that huge banner and six letters. they captivated the city yesterday. it is the way the activists protested that garnered much of the attention. they question this morning, did their message reach where they wanted it to? take a look at this video we captured this morning. this is the second district police station, where the activists spent the night. they were transferred to the holding cell under the courthouse.

16 hours, at times dangling in mid air. they were arrested as soon as they touched the ground. all charged with burglary, unlawful entry, and destruction of property. police telling us they trespassed shortly after 6:00 a.m. yesterday, cutting a lock, and then scaling the crane and eventually unfurling the banner simply reading "resist." they were more than 10 stories up, 270 feet to be exact. the group says it is fighting for social and environmental justice. a spokesperson telling me if the new white house will take a stance of climate change denial or they will make sure that message is heard clear daily. no word of official protests or demonstrations by the group today. no comment from president donald trump. back to you inside. jummy:

another protest the antiabortion launch. march for life. the group is drawing an estimated 250,000 people to the national mall. ahead of the mark, people protesting today outside of planned parenthood. ryan hughes shows us that. ryan: people started gathering outside the brand-new planned parenthood building in northeast around 8:00 a.m. you can see the crowds behind me armed with signs and coming from across the country. they are here calling the practice unsafe for women and a public health crisis. this comes before the march tomorrow. thousands of people are expected in d.c. for the 44th annual march for life. they will hear from speakers, including kellyanne conway, and cardinal timothy dola. >> i believe it is a person. they have the right to life. >> it is not only the babies>>

to we want people were fired as a result of an investigation into the east falls church derailment that occurred in july. the announcement was made during a board meeting which is still going on at this hour. they give an update on the worker who fell down a shaft early this month, saying the area was not properly labeled. a transportation report will have much more on the meeting coming up on abc seven news at 4:00. also happening today, groundbreaking on a construction project aimed at improving the drive around tysons corner. the jones branch connector will provide another way to get from route 123 to jones branch drive and will go right over the beltway. the $58 million project will include bike lanes and 8-12 foot sidewalks. one direction is supposed to be open in 2018. the entire project should be completed in 2019. groundbreaking set for 1:00 this afternoon. taking a live look outside right now down pennsylvania

the capital. the sky is clear. let's get a look at the forecast today. doug: the passing through, now skies are clear. winds will got. a wind advisory has been posted. national weather service has expanded this advisory over the last hour or so. the could have winds things listed at 50 miles per hour, especially in higher elevations, until 7:00 tonight. 44 miles per hour in martinsburg. before that, 55 miles per hour. 26 at reagan national. these will increase over the next few hours as the pressure surges and air pressure rises rapidly. temperatures will fall. we were close to 60 degrees a little earlier this morning. temperatures will fall for the balance of the day as well. the front has moved off.

flames ripping through an apartment construction site on washington state. this sent to firefighters to the hospital -- two firefighters to the hospital. at one point i'm a part of that intense heat. point, at least part of a collapsed due to the intense heat. police are looking into a started the blaze. 800 police officers were used during an operation in austria to arrest 8 people suspected of belonging to the islamic state. the public prosecutor says the suspects were arrested during early-morning raids in the country's two largest cities. they appear to be connected to a serbian born islamic cleric who was sentenced last year for trying to recruit people for isis. closer to home, shia

not with precipitation for the next five or six days, but we are getting back to more seasonal temperatures. let's start off with the winds that will be blowing in the colder air. it will not get arctic cold or bitterly cold, just seasonably cold. the wind advisory in effect until 7:00 tonight. everybody shaded in this tan , some gusty winds there over 40 miles per hour. hourmorning, 54 miles per at the eastern west virginia regional airport. 48 in germantown now. the other numbers speak for themselves. some very strong gusty winds. they will continue for several hours. air temperatures right now falling to the west and north. 48 in winchester. 63 in warrenton. 64 in fredericksburg.
