living a lie. >> okay. critics admit the subject matter is controversial but they're giving i am michael high marks for its balanced portrayal and for franco's deeply nuanced presentation. take a look. michael lasalle writes he gives an sensitive performance. this is a film worth seeing but not easy to watch. eric cohen says justin kelly's first feature offers an even handed portrait of its controversial subject but it doesn't make his decisions easy to take. next to matthew mcconaughey like we've never seen him before with a shirt on. he stars in the true story of a 1993 gold min mining scandal when a massive gold deposit was supposedly discovered in indonesia. the actor stars as a prospector and he's desperate for his lucky break but he finds that while getting the gold was hard work, keeping it is even harder.
