at 6:30, on your side. kimberly: good evening. a winter weather alert to kick off the week. those familiar white lines are back on the roads tonight as cruise around the region prepare for a little bit of snow and even some rain. josh knight has a first look at the forecast. my snowplow friends say they are ready to go. are starting to watch the system get closer. on the radar, you can see quite a bit has tried to move through, but for most of us this is too light, not reaching the ground yet. advisory goes into effect at 10:00 p.m. and will last until 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. this is predominantly an overnight event. this just got expanded, it did include prince william county to stafford, now we are adding in rappahannock, culpeper and spotsylvania counties. it is

southern maryland, down i-95. we will look for not a lot of snow, but it is the timing that is the issue. it could lead to slick spots early tomorrow morning. quite a bit of energy pushing through. the heavy snow in west virginia will be heading our way. what we've got going on, through the rest of the evening, everything that falls will melt. overnight, 12:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m., we will see the most intense snowfall and that could lead to slick spots, especially elevated roads, overpasses, bridges, and sidewalks. i will show you who will see the most coming up in about 10 minutes. officials treated -- officials will launch cruise at 10:00 tonight. the director tells us despite the early treatment, you need to be careful when you hit the roads. keep an eye out for plow trucks and salt trucks. >> don't crowd the plow. as our crews are working,

kimberly: a bizarre incident on the woodrow wilson bridge this afternoon. state police say a man made a bomb threat on the bridge at 2:00 p.m., then he jumped off the bridge. state police say he survived the threat was found. the bridge was deemed safe and reopened about 90 minutes later, at 3:30, but it caused a massive

montgomery county after fire breaks out at an old middle school. the fire started a little before 2:00. take a look. huge flames there. it happened at the former far quark middle school. the fighters say part of building collapsed. no one was hurt. the gym is considered a total loss and cause of the fire is under investigation. a show of support. protesters back in action, rally in support of travelers detained at airports. plus, a winter weather alert. we will wake up to a little snow and maybe rain tomorrow. josh is tracking the system and where people see it.

north of i-66. the further north you live, the less likely you will see too much by early tomorrow morning. southernsburg, d.c., maryland, that is where we will see bigger totals. when i say bigger, i mean up to inches. maybe two for most of us, a dusting. when do we all have a chance for snow? tomorrow throw the middle part of the day, a quick line of snow showers pushes through the region. that is when we all have a chance to see a few snowflakes. are relatively quiet, may be quick sprinkle. the best chance for your numbers, and once again, that is 1-2 inches, is closer to fredericksburg, harrisburg, southern maryland. -- harrisonburg, southern maryland. temperatures, 26-34. some of us don't get below freezing tonight. it is tough for this note it -- to stick around.
