canada's prime minister is calling the attack an act of terrorism-- saying the nation's muslim community was the target. developing now. protests inside dozens of airports, including dulles international, over the weekend. thousands of demonstrators and many lawmakers denouncing a new executive order from president donald trump-- cracking down on immigration from several countries. the commander-in-chief not backing down, despite the backlash. last night-- president trump defended the move on social media, saying in part... "my first priorty will always be to protect and serve our country, but as president i will find ways to help all those who are suffering." courts have ruled against parts of the executive order... but for the tens of thousands protesting in more than 30 cities, temporary victories aren't enough. the four-month ban on all refugees... and the three-month entry ban from seven majority-muslim countries remains in place. and at dulles-- large crowds gathered to welcome international travelers and rally against the executive order.

senator chuck schumer joining the number of lawmakers denouncing president trump's order. senator schumer went on to say that it will embolden america's enimies, and that senate democrats are going to introduce legislation to overturn this and move it as quickly as we can. that move apparently begins immediately. democratic senator dianne feinstein will introduce two bills today in response to the immigration order. the first would rescind the immediately. the second will limit presidential authority under the "immigration and nationality act." republican senators john mccain and lindsey graham -- frequent critics of the president -- argue the immigration order is helping

reveal more details this morning about a triple homicide.. at a restaurant in bowie. it happened early yesterday morning.. at the newly opened "blue sunday bar and grill." police say a bartender at the restaurant, karlief moye , fatally shot three co-workers. one of the victims was the restaurant's general manager, sherwood morgan. hours after the killings, police caught up with the suspect outside his

spring. while running away, he shot himself twice. he's now recovering in the hospital. police say a workplace dispute sparked the killings. they plan to release the names of the two other victims this morning. a controversial staffing shakeup at the white house over the weekend. president trump has signed an executive order to reorganize the national security council. officials say the order means the joint chiefs and the director of national intelligence will no longer be guaranteed seats in the situation room. however-- the president's chief strategist steve bannon will be. former national security advisor, susan rice, blasted the move on twitter-- calling it stone cold crazy. the white house press secretary says rice's language was inappropriate. an update this morning on the computer glitch that briefly caused a ground stop for delta airlines. crews say the issue forced the airline to cancel more than 150 flights. many more were delayed. the airline says the issue was fixed after about 3 hours and flights are
