this morning-- a much bigger clean up is happening in the gulf. the national weather service now confirming that an e-f three tornado, touched down in louisiana, destroying entire neighborhoods. abc's steve osunsami has more. president trump making headlines

takes aim at nordstrom -- in defense of his daughter. nordstrom stopped carrying ivanka trump's clothing line - citing brand performance. the president- now voicing his displeasure on twitter. he tweeted first on his personal account -- "my daughter ivanka has been treated unfairly by nordstrom." then - he re-tweeted it from the presidential account. critics were quick to call that re-tweet unethical-- saying president trump should not use official white house platforms for private business matters. the white house says president trump was simply defending his daughter. meanwhile-- the nation is still waiting to hear about the future of president trump's halted travel ban. a federal court heard arguments on the controversial order tuesday- but is not ready to rule. meanwhile- just last night, the president told reporters that he wanted to give travelers a month's notice before instituting the ban. but claims that he was overruled by law enforcement. he did not give the names of any of the officials that he discussed the

after the ban was suddenly instituted last week-- president trump defended it on tweeter saying that advance warning could have led to a flood of migrants entering the us. we're on watch for the ruling around the clock - stay with abc-7 and wjla.com. some of recent comments on twitter about the ban-- are coming under fire from a surprising critic-- the president's supreme court nominee, neal gorsuch. gorsuch called president trump's tweets about the federal judge that blocked his travel ban... quote... "demoralizing and disheartening." in a meeting ... gorsuch told senate minority leader charles schumer that an attack on his fellow judges is an attack on them all. a family is recovering this morning after they are rescued from a serious house fire in southeast d-c. firefighters rescued a 95-year-old woman from a second-floor bedroom in her home on xenia street. paramedics rushed her to the hospital in serious condition. the woman's son said he was in the basement when the fire started. firefi

spicer is clarifying his comments-- after he alludes to a recent terror attack-- in atlanta. spicer first made the reference on a january 29 appearance on abc's "this week". during the interview spicer said "what do you say to someone who lost a family member in a terror attack in atlanta or san bernardino". he's made similar references at least two more times in televised interviews. there has never been an islamist terror attack in atlanta. in an email to abc news wednesday, spicer finally addressed his repeated reference to an atlanta terror attack, writing that he "clearly meant orlando." last week-- white house adviser kellyenne conway apologized for referring repeatedly referencing a

has now acknowledges never happened. developing now-- a popular maryland coach-- now facing numerous sex assault charges. police say warner murphy was a coach at the laurel boys and girls club for the last three years. now-- he's accused of sexually assaulting two women at his home. the victims tell police that murphy gave them alcohol then forced himself on them. his co-workers say they are very surprised at the allegations. police say murphy abused one of his victims, a teenage relative, almost daily. he is now free on 100-thousand dollars bond and is due back in court on march first. only on 7: it's mail you wait for. important tax documents- even paychecks. so why was pile of it found on the porch of an abandoned home?? tim barber reports. take a look at this vide-

in lynn, massachusetts shot this video as cars slid down their icy street- striking several other vehicles.

unavoidable in nascar. but from now on-- it will be a lot harder for impacted drivers to stay in the race. starting this year-- nascar says any damaged race car that is taken into the garage is prohibited from re-entering the race.
